Galdr is the kind of vocal magick used in norse paganism. Sometimes translated as song, Galdr is essentially the (Intent Voice™️) of Norse magic. There’s a rich tradition among the Germanic tribes of overtone singing/ throat singing, so based on that history as well as some UPG, Galdr relates to this practice. In my opinion, what’s important isn’t that you’re pronouncing the rune names a particular way, it’s that you’re throat singing them. This is kind of advanced, but it is learnable as a non singer. I can’t sing, but I can Galdr the runes. Some things that help me are diaphragm breathing and trying to speak from the back of my throat. I’m not formally trained at all so I’m not sure if I’m using proper terminology, but to Galdr the runes in this way feels right to me and I showed @paranormal-scholar who recommended I post it. I recommend finding your “Galdr Voice” and experimenting with it ! I use Galdr primarily as a part of meditation on the runes, and Galdr serves as a fundamental part of Stadhagaldr.
