Who would you call the most mysterious person in the world? John Zegrus? Tara Gilesbie? Jack the Ripper? To that, I answer; none of them compare to Magnus Shan. A creature born in a distant future, where xenophobia ran rampant. He was considered a freak of nature, being the only one of his kind, and his life would be taken at the tender age of two. Elsewhere in the past, a powerful guardian aims to fulfil a prophecy that would allow Magnus' species to thrive. Entrusting the help of one Silver the Hedgehog, he brought Magnus to the past and raised him as his own. The infant grew up with powers bestowed upon him by his new father; not only clairvoyance, but the ability to cause transmutation. Analytical, reserved and calm under pressure, Magnus waits in the shadows until after the fateful collision to make himself known to humankind. His aim is to guide Sonny and Rosemary through their new lives, and solely that - unless a certain pathetic mayor comes knocking.

I couldn't find a good surname for Magnus this time round, so I gave him one that sounds like Chan. But then I looked up the etymology, and Shan comes from the Chinese character 單 (shàn/dān), meaning solitary. This reminds me of Magi-Chan's canonical childhood, raised in seclusion by a mentor he never met face-to-face.

And just to confirm, Mewtwo is not Magnus' mentor here.

Sub-Plot

Now, we get to the subplot. This is certainly going to be a questionable choice, but this is the price I pay for wanting to stray from the path.

Magnus is going to assist the character based on Christine in a journey to betterment. Consider this the good ending Chris could've had if she got the help she needs. Something like a road to redemption.

Because getting worked up about changes in kid's TV and hitting a game store owner with a car because you got banned certainly aren't well-adjusted adult things to do. Much less the... mother scenario.

So here's the plan. Chris' character almost commits a crime reminiscent of a real life incident. Magnus forces Chris out of it, and ensures that she learns from it. Over time, Chris grows as a person, allowing herself to become the mayor that Quinnchester's townsfolk deserve.
