Mage of Mind: One who Knows with Mind or Knows Mind

"Mages will uniquely experience their Aspect, both good and bad. As a result, they gain a unique understanding of what their Aspect is or does. Their challenge is to become open to new insight or different perspectives than their own.

A Mage of Mind might suffer from thoughts, rational decision and reason by being naturally surrounded by experiences which constantly require them to be rational. They might experience justice or the uncaring logical reasonable decisions of others or themselves and they might suffer from uncaring intellectual trickery lies and choices also. They themselves might suffer from the rational decisions and choices that they make. They might suffer from being intellectual or too smart for their own good, kind of like a know-it-all or a smartass. They might suffer from an intense apathy or uncaring unemotional nature. They suffer from their own personas that they create to hide their true inner self. Or they might just have the unique experience of doing all these things, whether it causes them to suffer from it or gain benefits from it.

They suffer from indifference, other people’s towards them or their own towards other things and people. They strike me as the kind of people who might be outcasts, disconnected from society, yet also not standing out and hiding in plain sight sort of thing. Every decision and choice they make might be scrutinized and argued over or devalued until they prove themselves and their mental prowess. From these experiences though they gain the experience of all kinds of logic and intellect. They might be exceptionally intelligent and great at trickery or deceit. They know all about apathy and indifference and how it affects things and people.

Hello!First off, thank you so much for the very kind compliment! I really enjoy running this blog, even though I’m not always able to be as consistent with my posts as I would like, and it means so much to know you enjoy it, too!What Marvel’s done with Emma is, as you say, extremely disappointing. It was disappointing in terms of character development and in terms of narrative—both of the immediate crossover and of long-term possibilities. I think there are many Emma fans who would be interested in seeing her in the role of nuanced villain, but anyone writing her down the road is going to have to overcome the extreme two-dimensionality of her IvX actions. I live in hope that it’ll turn out that that what we saw in IvX wasn’t really Emma. Which isn’t that far-fetched, really. When Jean Grey destroyed a solar system, it turned out not to have been Jean Grey. When Magneto as Xorn leveled the island of Manhattan, it turned out not to have been Magneto. When Scott Summers declared open war on the Inhumans, it turned out not to have been Scott Summers. They could easily make the same true of Emma’s attack on the Inhumans.

Logic, reason, calculations, and literal mind

Side Effects: Tends to be too literal or apathetic

The Mage of Mind would know every last detail on how the Mind works, but in return they would be harmed by Mind. Maybe they use too much Mind and as such they hurt their friends feelings all the time, or maybe they have some kind of neurological disease.

They would know what makes people tick, and how to work around this. They would be able to spot what causes people to think about certain things and how to use this info. They would tell the team logical, thought out, and overly looked over plans and would expect it to be done to the letter. 

This Mage in all honesty is in need of a Sylph/Maid/Heir of Heart to balance out their over calculating nature and give them a little more Heart. Heck these three might even be the best for helping the Mage get past their personal issues brought on by their class.

All in all pretty bland and basic but useful all the same. 

Mage of Mind

One who knows mind.

Basically a Mind reader, all things considered. As a Mage of Mind you willbe able to know the intentions of other people, and with concentration, knowtheir exact thoughts, privacy be damned! This would be even more powerful incombination with Scorpio Cast powers, for obvious reasons.

As a Mage, you’ll find yourself “Being abused by the knowledge you gainpassive”, for a Mage of Mind, that’ll mean people around you will fear you, andpotentially hate you, believing you to be unjustly invading their personallife, which is somewhat right. It’s important that as a Mage of Mind, you learnto respect these boundaries, and hopefully people will like your company more.

A Mage of Mind will naturally have an affiliation for enforcing justice,especially within their own session. This is helped by their innate knowledgeof others’ intentions and thoughts. Once again, the Mage of Mind should not go overboardwith this, as to not ostracize themselves from their session as aRobocop.

A Mage of Mind is a Background ‘law enforcer’, and a Derse Dreamer.

I’m not proud of my description of the Witch of Void. I feel Manipulation ofVoid isn’t that, interesting, of a trait. I’m sure through research its truebeauty could shine, but I don’t think I could make this stone bleed just yet.

Witch of Void

One who manipulates Void

To manipulate void suggests that they would have the ability to temporarilymake items (even those out of their reach), ineffable and invisible. A powerfultool for sneaking allies and things in and out of places. The Witch of voidwould also theoretically be able to change the visibility of information, eithercrushing it down to a secret whisper, or basically telling everyone.

As a Void player, the Witch of Void will likely be attempting to distance themselvesfrom their session via some personality trait. It’s important that you learn toovercome this distancing, as separation from your session spiritually isunhealthy, and could lead to being left behind.
