Okay so Jayceâs apartment/home explodes like youâd expect, however in his cell the person who visits him is a young man with brown hair and a cane. He tells Jayce that his work is promising but if he wanted to continue he needed to trust the mage.
Jayce had heard of the mage before he was a tall intimidating man who lived in the woods between Zaun and Piltover. People come to him at their most desperate, but because he served both cities no one ever trusted him completely. Jayce says heâll think about it.
The next day at trial, the counsel is talking about banishment, not just for him but the rest of his family, when a figure from the back comes forward. Itâs the mage, heâs incredibly tall and broad, walks with a staff and wears a mask. When he talks, it sounds as if many voices are speaking at once. And he offers to foster Jayceâs talent and take him on as an apprentice. Despite how scary he is, Jayce agrees as it will keep his mother safe. The mage tells him that his current apprentice will pick him up tomorrow and they will begin their training.
The next day comes and Jayceâs picked up by the young man with the cane, who introduces himself as Viktor. They travel several miles out to the midway point between the towns, to an old slouchy looking house. Viktor immediately puts Jayce to work doing menial labor, telling him the mage will be back soon enough to start his training. Viktor starts training Jayce in the ways of medicinal herbs, and small magics, while the master is away. Jayce is a fast learner but still is curious about the mage. This continues for three weeks, until one night there is a huge thunderstorm. Lightning strikes a tree near their home and catches fire, Viktor pulls Jayce into the storm and performs âbig magicâ to contain the fire and put it out. While saying the incantation, Viktor speaks in that many voiced way he heard the Mage speak before. Viktor is the Mage. The spell leaves Viktor exhausted and Jayce pulls him inside to take care of him.
Annnd thatâs as far as I got.
Mage!Roxas from an au-verse Iâll probably never get around to writing, but it lives happily on in my heart. <3

*DROPS AND RUNS AWAY*
Sento bit into his bottom lip, his eyes darting away with his thoughts. The second time the vampire visited him, Banjou Ryuga snuck into his bedâŚundressed him⌠and ravished him until Sento couldn't think straight anymore. Shivering, the royal mage could almost feel those hot lips and fingers all across his body underneath his suit. Ghostly touches as if the boy was actually next to him, touching him with such familiarity.  It wasn't the only time either, Banjou had visited him a few times since then, and it had always ended up the same way.  There was something about the way that the vampire looked at him, whispered his name, and that needy way he gripped the lean royal, made Sento weak and easily swayed.

For the writing meme: Tim&Dami "The answer is always blood magic" I can just hear the tired/sarcastic/done/exasperated tone of voice either of them would use for that. Please and thank you. Also, it's a Dragon Age quote and I'm unable to pass it up.
Lookie what I got done tonight! Set in the same universe as How to Summon Me on a Monday Morning.
~*~*~
Damian scowls fiercely at Tim, his little face puckered up even worse than the time he was forced to admit Tim was right about something. Thatâs a good memory, but now is not the time for happy thoughts or pixie dust.
âYou will undo this, Drake.â
âIâm trying, Damian,â Tim replies just as crossly, flipping through his spellbook. âI know itâs hard to believe, but Iâm not exactly thrilled about it either.â
âThis is all your fault.â
Tim slams the book shut and glares at the boy. âYouâre the one who went through my spellbook in the first place. Try again.â
For a brief moment, Damian has the grace to look shamefaced, his gaze dropping to the carefully sealed cardboard box at his feet. Itâs hard to miss the protective symbols drawn on the lid and along each side of the box. Thereâs probably even symbols on the bottom. âI was trying to find something to help her.â
This is why Tim canât be righteously furious at the young animagus. Damian is so in tune with the needs of animals that the family swears heâs more empath than mage. Thank the gods he is still too young to shape-shift.
âI know and thatâs the only reason why I havenât turned you into a toad.â
The now undead cat in the box lets out a ghastly hiss that manages to send chills down Timâs spine. From the looks of it, Damian is spooked too.
Good.
Tim opens his book again and flips to the spell heâs fairly certain Damian tried on his own. Itâs the only one that deals with raising the dead, although the spell on the next page is one he uses more often, which is banishing the magics used to raise the creatures. âDoes this look familiar?â
Damian leans cautiously across the table, trying to avoid knocking into anything. âYes, I believe so. I recall the part about this being a blood spell.â
Shaking his head, Tim grumbles under his breath. âThe answer is always blood magic. Stupid half-hearted sacrifices.â
âWhat was that, Drake? I believe Pennyworth has stated more than once that you shouldnât mumble.â
Tim glares. This is why he doesnât live at home anymore, even if it does mean he has to cook and clean for himself. âWhen youâre performing necromancy, itâs the act of killing one creature and releasing their life energy thatâs used primarily to fuel the spell to raise the undead. The greater the sacrifice, the more powerful the spell.â He pushes his glasses up his nose. âWhat did you kill?â
Damian stands stiffly even as his dead cat howls again. This time, it doesnât bother Tim so much. In fact, if he could get away with it, this would be a great way to scare away those pesky sales people who insist on knocking on his door all the time. How they manage to get past his wards, he hasnât a clue.
âI didnât kill anything,â the boy replies proudly.
âThen thatâs why Athena is trying to eat you,â Tim retorts without missing a beat. âDid you really think you could raise the dead without sacrificing something?â
âI spilled over a third of a cup of my own blood.â
Tim frowns and tries really hard not to strangle Damian. Thereâs only one way to deal with this now. âNo wonder she turned out like this. Give me the box.â
Damian stands protectively in front of it. âI will not let you hurt her.â
âThe cat is dead, she wonât feel a thing,â Tim says. âYou know this as well as I do, even if you donât want to admit it.â
The kid sighs and looks away. They both pretend those arenât tears heâs battling against in his eyes. âFine,â Damian says after a moment. âJustâŚcan I watch?â
Tim thinks about it briefly. Itâs entirely possible the cat is possessed and if she is, then heâll need Jason to help banish the demon, however minor it is. Summoner he may be, but he also has a surprising talent for holy magic. âProbably not,â he replies. âIf sheâs what I think she is now, Iâll need to call Jason and have him bring that flaming knife of his.â The one that burns blue from holy flames when in the presence of evil. Like in that one movie they like to watch and make fun of before moving on to more interesting things than wasting their time on a movie theyâve seen a million times already.
Damian shakes his head resolutely. âIâm the one who did this to Athena. I should see it through to the end.â
Itâs a brave statement for a twelve year old boy but Tim rises from his work table to place a hand on Damianâs shoulder. âI wouldnât want you to see this,â he says. âRemember her as the cat she was before.â
Not as the screaming doorstop heâs still half tempted to turn her into. Perhaps he can find a stuffed one online that he can reanimate. If anything, it would be an amusing way to spend Halloween and give the trick-or-treaters something to really scream about. He used to have a bird that would dive bomb unwanted visitors until Jason shot it.
Once again, they both pretend Damian isnât crying when he turns his head away to stare at the wall and the gloomy bookcase full of arcane crap Tim inherited from his parents. Neither of them were exceptionally powerful in their craft but he makes up for that in spades.
âOkay,â Damian says in a small voice. âWill I be able to lay her to rest when youâre done?â
Tim nods. âIâll make sure to save the all ashes for you.â All things considered, he feels heâs being a great big brother for not keeping some of the ashes aside for spell components. It would be well within his right to demand such and Damian knows it. âYou should go now.â
Damian nods again and kneels in front of the now growling box. âIâm sorry, Athena. I should have known better. Farewell.â
The growling turns into a shriek as Damian leaves the room. Tim waits until heâs left the house before slipping on a pair of rune-stitched gardening gloves. Heâll need all the protection he can get.
Kneeling in front of the box, Tim carefully opens the lid. âLetâs see what weâre dealing with.â
He slams it shut almost instantly as a malevolent aura fills the room. âShit.â
Well then. Time to call his other half. Picking up his phone, he presses his second most used speed dial. âHey, JaceâŚyou wonât believe what Damian did this timeâŚâ

Summoning some little creatures to help with his daily chores - and not so daily chores - always had been an easy task for McCree. Even though quite a few people had told him ânot to underestimate his powerâ and âto not use it for something thatâs not worth itâ, he really never got why he shouldnât use the little tricks he could do to his advantage. Dealing with whatever had to be done inside and outside of his flat all alone wasnât fun, and quite exhausting, so why shouldnât he get a little help from time to time.
At first, it had been small Gnomes heâd summoned. Few of them had been rather nice, others had been quite snarky, and soon the Mage had decided to put a little more effort into his summonings. Heâd had a few different creatures since then, being more or less helpful, and one day, heâd even managed it to summon one, then two fucking bright blue shining dragons.
Damn, he liked those two. He didnât have a name for them yet, but maybe they didnât even want to be named. At first, Jesse had been quite wary of the two very large visitors at first, but after they seemed to have warmed up with him, he always loved it to have them around. They were so nice and tall, could easily swipe the dust off from the very high drawers and shelves.
It felt... a little bit different from time to time though. As if they brought something with them. McCree couldnât name it, just a very strange feeling that rushed through his veins whenever he summoned his friends for another day, and it actually didnât feel bad at all. A little frightening, but not alarming.
That changed though, when he, one day, after heâd just gotten home and made himself comfortable with wearing some saggy pants and an old shirt, accidentally sumoned more than just two dragons...
And damn, his eyes went fucking wide when he all of a sudden was faced with a ... creature... man?... heâd not seen before. And all his Mage-senses tingled inside his body, shouting at him that this wasnât just a joke, but a fucking big and fucking strong demon.
