Alright alright alright, MAG 144:Decrypted.
It is mentioned that a distorted version of the Skye Boat Song starts playing before the number station starts transmitting.
Now, the Skye Boat song is pretty much Scottish folk, with some pretty nice bagpipe tunes.
Who else do we know, liking a nice bagpipe doodle?
The slaughter. Basicly, I'm saying this particular extinction event has a tie to the slaughter, even tho the "impending sense of doom" wasnt specified as being about war.
Yet, a good war could very well end all of humanity, so I'm definetly counting that as a threat of The Extinction to team up with The Slaughter as apocalypse buddys, as some have theorized the red flower dude from MAG163:Trenches might have been not only representative of the Slaughter, but also partially the Extinction.
