Anyway I’m going to split these across two posts because if i don’t then this post is going to be like. A mile long. I’ll schedule the second post to go up in like an hour so theres some separation.

Foundations

- Had to rewind the begining because the ‘hey jonathan, heard about your current state of overworking, etc’ part sounded like it couldve been addressed directly to OUR Jonathan, lol

- ‘Balance’ HMM. I wonder if this is related to the balance that Other!Michael mentioned. Maybe George is using his knowledge of balance to upset the balance more in the favour of the paranormal (or whatever side opposes the archive).

- Warplane theory… theres no supernatural reportings at george’s building because anyone who sees anything ends up dead

- Aw Tim checking to make sure Jonathan isnt in trouble

- FJDHSGGS honestly best assumption Tim could make but its sending me. Barely holding it together in the fridge rn

High Pressure

- Yay an ocean one

- I like when they reference things I know about. The graveyard of the atlantic!!!! Yes!!

- SIMON FAIRCHILD?? Are we going to finally find out who it’s an alias for???

- The description of the dark water is very similar to sky diver guys description of the patch of sky he ended up in… and how the girl who’s fiance died described the field that she got stuck in… hmmmm

- So the fairchild family has stocks in air and water based things… and the two cases Simon Fairchild popped up have both involved him paying for air and water based travel (sky diving and underwater diving)… and both these cases involved people being displaced into their respective entities… HMMMM.

- I wonder if he’s also linked to the women who got stuck in the big field. Maybe the fiance was part of his family and thats why all the family members were so weird… because theyre out here ‘feeding’ people to these paranormal entities… HMMMM much to think about

- I also wonder if Simon Fairchild is the actual conman Simon, and he didn’t die, or did die and somehow ‘pledged’ himself to the weird paranormal (or they just thought he’d be convenient and nabbed him in his death).

- Strange conversation with Sasha 👀?

- An eye??? An eye that messes with technology(/cameras)???? More about the cult stuff to come maybe?????

- Oh god Sasha is back at the table

Exceptional Risks

- oh. Okay. I don’t like this prison guard. It was a red flag already when he said he was a prison guard but he’s so smug about his violence against them :(

- “And he used to be a police man!” Yeah. Yeah thats not a surprise.

- Is the Serbian mafia guy the guy from the jigsaw puzzle lady? The one where the statement giver asked the old lady to kill his ex-co-conspirator, then killed him himself, then got pulled apart bit by bit by the lady? I remember him mentioning that his ex-friend was meeting with some serbian gangsters before he killed him and the name sounds really familiar. I could be imagining it though.

- “Whats the name of that… helper of yours?” “Oh, Martin.” “No, no… the hot one.” “Oh 🙄 *Tim* 😒.” im crying.

- I need this to stop making me laugh. Its meant to be horror. I cant be giggling while at work this often!!

- “I had more inmate altercations on my record than any other officer at wakefield” yeah we get it. You’re really good at being part of a corrupt violent system.

- I don’t even know what the supernatural element of this is going to be but if this doesnt end with Jonathan saying “unfortunately, he died a week after giving the statement” i’m going to be sad.

- Interesting. So Montauk killed because he was possessed in some form, i think? Was he the bone guy?? The butcher?? Did i forget his name?????

- RAYNER??? I havent heard that name in like… an entire season??? It WAS the cult? I was right??? *frantically flicks through notes*

Crusader

- Another Gertrude episode!!

- The archive? I dont think he called it an archive?

- HmmMMMMM Gertrude hiding stuff from the tapes??? Poor! Archival! Practices!

- He thinks he’s being watched here the same as he was there? Is it because its another archive- one of the same ‘kind’ somehow (ie paranormal)??

- “Those who sing the night”? Paranormal… believers? Researchers? Victims???

- WHAT DO YOU MEAN JONATHAN STABBED HIMSELF WITH A BUTTER KNIFE??? HE NEEDED FIVE STITCHES???

- Jonathan i have more to think about than your existential crisis

- Okay so. Gettrude thinks there’s been multiple iterations of the archives. That would fit with what I was thinking about Michael’s comment about ‘balance’, which I thought might refer to the supernatural against the knowledge of those paranormal things, where the archive is one ‘side’. So it would make sense that it has been around for a while to fulfill that niche. It does the raise the question of why Jonathan Magnus opened this one… did he know about the previous ones? Was he just seized by the urge inexplicably??

- The introduction of the weird figure that i thought was death that Gertrude said might have been a previous archivist… so the archivists have some sort of supernatural staying power? I doubt theyre supernatural themselves, but if they’ve been… ‘picked’ or something by some kind of paranormal entity holding up the Archive/that side of the ‘balance’ then that would maybe make sense? Also the one ‘lidless eye’ that the archivist had… surely thats the same one as the one in the artifact room? Maybe Gertrude grabbed it before the old archive got blown up. But if thats related to whatevers going on with the archivists… hmmmm

- Also also. The eye being linked to the archivists AND the eye motifs with the Key’s and with Rayner’s cult (the name of which i cannot remember)… hm. That seems vitally important. Either the archive is part of the cult, or the cult and the Key’s are somehow offsprings (maybe rebellious factions?) of whatevers going on with the eye/archivists.

Still Life

- oh nooooo not taxidermy :(

- “It was so thick you could almost taste it… like something had murdered a lily and it was rotting under the floorboards” <- incredible description actually. I really like how this is written.

- The statement giver getting excited about getting to explain anti laundering laws 😭

- The only similarity between the two daniels is the hair. Well, that is one of the few things you can’t make change by stuffing it.

- Alsoni thought Daniel might be one of the angler fish victims (no idea where i pulled that from, possibly sheer luck because it’s one of the few that’s remained unconnected to the rest) and a quick skim through the transcript of episode 1 confirmed he was. So. Hmmmm.

- HE BROKE INTO GERTRUDES FLAT???

- Sorry? What do you mean Gertrude was cutting the eyes out of her book?? What do you mean that was just a casual add on???? Thats the kind of thing that makes people wonder if their friends are serial killers, Jonathan.

Pest Control

- Pests??? Again?? Did we not deal with this???

- Oh it is about Prentiss lmaoo. Never mind!

- Jonathan stressing about making sure Prentiss is dead :( the post-traumatic stress is disordering.

- I do actually like this guy, I think

- 6’6… maybe the guy who turned out to be the ‘worst serial killer in britain’ from a few episodes ago?

- The nervous laughing/smile as he talks about how he accidentally set someone on fire… same, my guy.

- I have no idea how much pest control gets paid, but whatever it is, this guy is not being paid enough.

- Why is Prentiss’ landlord flashing him shgsgsgaj

- He. Burned. Himself. Alive?

- So the landlord was… linked to the hive, right? Either the hive came from him, or he was infected by the hive… to a lesser extent than Prentiss?

- Hm. Is the smell to do with burning things that are controlled by or ‘infected’ by paranormal entities?

- Its the nursing home guy???? The dead body at the nursing home was ALSO ‘diseased’, right? HMMMM.
