- oop, statement by Jonathan directly. September… so it’s been two months.

- Her ashes??? Bro

- Aw, Martin trying to make sure Jonathan rests 😭

- Uh oh, Jonathan’s getting paranoid.

- I’ve commented before that it’s fun that Jonathan (the character) narrates other’s statements Like That (making his tone scared, or creepy, or angry etc) despite allegedly not believing them/being exasperated at having to read them. It’s good to know he actually just talks like that. Why does he sound like a possessed man. He seems to have the same relationship to the trapdoor as Jane did to her hive.

- Brief interlude to apologise to Tim, lol

- Worm door? Worm door is back?

- I was about to comment on the lack of Robert Smirk in this architecture talk. There he is!!

- Flowery arrows? Gertrude, maybe, having also found the tunnels (obviously since she died in there) was exploring them in the same way? Especially since there was a statement trying to warn her about her own death…

- Supplementals! Fun. But also I’m getting concerned about Jonathan’s paranoia :(, especially if he thinks one of them is the killer. I also think there’s something going on (*cough* Sasha getting possessed/replaced/whatever *cough*) BUT the way he’s talking about not just the tunnels but his paranoia… hmmmmm I dont think this’ll go well for him

- That being said. As much as I’m concerned about him recording a second secret record to hide from everyone. I’m glad that he’s making two copies for proper archival reasons. The loss of the two tapes and several files in the finale stressed me out lol.

- Interesting! So the band is either summoning dead people and reenacting their violent deaths or enacting violence on them and then displacing it within time somehow? The latter makes more sense for the statement giver and Lee both getting drawn in but presents a more complex issue…

- Jonathan being suspicious of Martin because he was ‘too competent’ during the crisis and because he’s concerned about him 😭

- “[…] but he seems... unsatisfied by that response.” Yeah probably because he can tell youre paranoid and lying to him!!!

- Martin IS lying about something??? I wonder if it’s about his recovery… like he’s lying about being over Prentiss or not having been hurt or something… or it’s to do with him saying last time that he felt like he couldn’t quit, maybe he’s lying about why that is

- already excited from the title alone. Not sure why, just gives good vibes

- Hmmm Jonathan is being very friendly with her… more so than usual?

- Ah she’s a cop. I guess that gives her extra credit maybe?

- The cop who was at the scene??? Interesting! I wonder if she’s here for her own statement or for Jonathan…

- Asag?? Wasnt there another statement where that was mentioned? Someone was saying words… maybe the one with Gerard Key in the hospital and the guy who was boiling stuff.

- RED BOOK, BOILING WATER, i nailed it with it being related to the hospital one!

- Ohh the half melted guy, i feel bad for him :(

- So she came in of her own accord but Jonathan is quizzing her about Gertrude. Not surprising but hmmmm

- OOP cutting off half the conversation, bad archival practices. Was he going to ask if he could have the tapes??

- new voice?? Gertrude???

- Is it going to be the circus of the guy who owned the Calliope organ originally? Are we getting more on the clown dolls? That’s be double interesting because thats one of the tapes that went missing…

- “Steam organ” HMMMMM

- is the tiger a doll? Needs more souls to get charged up?

- The statement giver was such a kid 😭 it makes the knowledge he’s about to be traumatised so much worse

- Interesting that Gertrude talks about the circus in a similar way to the way Jonathan talks about Leitner’s books- like it’s a known entity. Jonathan didn’t seem to know them, so that knowledge must’ve died with her because she never had a chance to train him or pass it on :(

- Also Jonathan’s been complaining the whole time that Gertrude didn’t record anything/probably didn’t read the statements/didn’t keep track of stuff. Meanwhile Gertrude DID record them and knew enough to recognise common players in the statements. Hmmm

- “Why did Gertrude stop recording” is in fact a very good question. Maybe something didnt like her recording. Maybe it’s related to why the ‘real’ statements cant be recorded on a laptop, only tapes… something about the act of talking about/recording yourself talking about them changes or impacts the paranormal… i wonder if thats why the original statements where written down on paper because i did think that was odd- for archive purposes and general questioning taking a recording of someones experience and adding a transcript later seems like it’d be better/easier.

- Anyway. This was a fun episode, I liked Gertrude. I also like the similarities between her and Jonathan.
