honestly keep thinking about this whole episode
how the watched/victims in martin’s domain keep saying/thinking things that sound exactly like things martin has said
this specifically. this, and the tone in which jon says this, is exactly what martin has said on multiple occasions throughout the series!
and also, i think it only makes sense that the people in martin’s domain lowkey have personalities that deserve such torture, and i think martin would agree. i think martin wouldn’t feel as bad about his domain if he knew what his victims were like
yes he kind of hears what his victims are like, but not really. they’re scared of not being known is what jon says, but this translates to them wanting to be famous.
they’re vain (i think, english isn’t my first language) and prideful, to the point they don’t want to listen to any theories other than their own
the way jon describes the monument at the start is also the most accurate description of the people suffering in there
what i do think is a little weird is that it’s a combination of the eye and the lonely, i really thought it was spiral related? but maybe the eye and the spiral are just a bit same-y in that regard? i don’t understand why the domain is shifting mostly
