If it's not too personal, how did you discover you were a system?
oh oh im back up front and zek and fey cant stop me!!! (hi its jester)
so so so, im actually a memoryholder (and a gatekeeper, im the most powerful fucker in this system ÙWÚ), so i can tell you how we realized!! we knew systems existed, but we didnt really understand them, you know?? but we actually met a system who was happy to explain it in depth to our project server (VMV server!!), and i guess fey was fed up with going ignored
(fey was the first! traumagenic systems ((DID, OSDD-1a, OSDD-1b)) form when you're Very Small, and the body is turning 20 soon! so caramylla didnt really realize fey was There until that other system friend explained stuff more in depth)
Fey - To be blunt, I forced myself to the front and ended up scaring Caramylla and the server half to death.
jester - yeye! this was like, a year or so ago
we were told very rudely by our ex partner(s) that we needed to be diagnosed or go to therapy and Get Help (?????) to "become normal" again, which uh. isn't how it works! not to mention totally ignoring our trauma regarding therapy itself, but u know <3
so fey ended up retreating again because of that >:/
Z - thats around when i split, actually. yallve seen me post on th' blog sometimes, im zekrax and i get teased regularly fer bein' gay. i also have a Quite Noticeable accent when i type, i just aint choosin' much of the right words t' show it off.
jester - BUT luckily we are away from those partners now and we can properly acknowledge ourselves! im actually the youngest, and i split out of spite (among other things) to force caramylla to come to terms with the fact that qi wasn't alone in qir head, smh.

ANYWAYS, TLDR, it took us longer to come to terms with being a system than it did to discover we were one! and most of it was us coming to terms with our trauma and alters Other Than Caramylla forcibly fronting heehee

I feel like a lot of MadoMagi copycats miss that MadoMagi doesn't really hold any malice towards the magical girl genre at all and if anything embraces it fully, it just takes its concepts and interprets it in a darker sense. A lot of media that tries to replicate misses that and just go "Pfft magical girls are so stupid and childish, we should make a show where they all die, and are miserable and depressed, and it's dark and edgy for the sake of being edgy."
Very deeply unfortunate how no one can be normal about the new Ghost in the Shell anime because no one can understand the individual value of each given adaptation because the internet needs everything to devolve into a “which side are you debate” meanwhile I alone (sarcasm) have ascended to the higher echelon of thought—they both have their merits, pros and cons, and deserve to exist.
But also Ghost in the Shell 2 Innocence is by far the best adaptation of the series. And I’m not hearing otherwise♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

Gamefreak has been writing legendary Pokémon phenomenally lately, Pokémon like Calyrex and Ogerpon truly feel like friends and companions, like I've not seen a single person ever dislike those two because the game makes them so likable and gives them so much personality and really makes you bond with them so it's genuinely a treat when you get to catch them! And it doesn't feel as impersonal as "Oh let me catch this all powerful god so it doesn't destroy the region." I think it really exemplifies the fact Pokémon are FRIENDS, and Ogerpon and Koraidon/Miraidon also prove that Calyrex didn't work just because it could talk, they all work because how they're woven into the narrative and the protagonist by extension. So catching them (or being able to use them in battle with the SV box legends) feels like proof of your bond with said Pokémon.
