Do you have any thoughts on specifically how she would behave in certain friendship dynamics with certain characters?

And in the case of Evan being black(because that's how I usually see him) along with Pandora, I still think she'd be more apt to being friends with Pandora than Evan, purely cause of morals

Those three boys are literally terrible people who go against everything Dorcas stand for, Evan has less in canon so more of a case can be made for him, but even as I see him, he's still a shitty creep so

But ☝️ as I said in my other ask, that's mainly for a canon esque/ more canon aligned personalities for the boys

If we make them less of a bigot, and just generally terrible more not bad people in a bigoted sense, there may be more of a case for them but still...

In any au, I think she like regulus the least, then Barty and Evan being tied, Evan a little ahead of Barty

Like if their overarching beliefs somehow aligned with Dorcas', with her own sense of justice, it may be able to happen

I think she'd be wary of Barty the most, but also find connection with him as well because I both see them as being perpetually angry at everyone and everything around them, and while everyone around them is saying they're overreacting, they understand within each other they're not

Like I can see them bonding because people are fucking stupid and shitty and they hate their parents

Dorcas and Lily— I think they're similar, but two very very very different lived experiences would make Dorcas apprehensive to trust Lily/ever really like her fully

Cause Lily wasn't how she is as an adult from the beginning, she hid and went along with what the adults and other people around her wanted because that's what Lily thought she wanted for longer than Dorcas did

And Dorcas would see that during school and hate her for it, even after she sees Lily change throughout

She might be able to be a little more cordial and tolerating, but she'd never fully like Lily

(and this is coming from someone who wishes they could like dorlily so so bad but I can't see it for this reason)

Sybill and Dorcas— Genuinely I kinda have no idea, and I think Dorcas would be similar, cause Sybill is an enigma of sorts to her, and I think they could have potential cause I definitely think Sybill grew very different to Lily, but I'm not sure how...

Cause Sybill and Dorcas are different on like almost every single level imaginable, I'd have to think more about that

Dorcas and Pandora— While Pandora isn't a very activist type, I think her and Pandora could get along, on the basis of they're both very no bullshit people, and Dorcas can understand Pandora in her way of being focused and consumed in her work

They'd probably have a rough start, putting two people like them together, but they'd start to form a quiet, tentative friendship at first, which turns into one of genuine trust and understanding

Dorcas and Marlene— so coming from someone who wants/kinda likes dorlene (not really, like I'll reblog smth if I like it but otherwise nah not really) Dorcas would usually be even less of a fan of Marlene than she is Lily, like Marlene genuinely disgusts her

But I'd see them similar to how I see Tonks and Marlene, but Dorcas is a lot less accepting of Marlene than Tonks is, bro like high-key she'd be so agitated with Marlene constantly, and they'd get into too many fights to have a real relationship

The most I could see them is before Marlene really realizes she's not aspiring to do anything, and becomes really lazy, because Dorcas could maybe possibly be drawn to Marlene for her being a laid back person she can be at peace with

But once Marlene devolves, it's over, Dorcas gets fed up with her too

Mary and Dorcas— I don't think Dorcas would like Mary much at first, I'm not gonna lie, and that's cause she assumed Mary was one of the types of girls who tried to hang around white people, act like she wasn't black, go along with their racism and bigotry, but when she actually spoke to Mary, continuing to assume and look down on her, she learned quick fast from Mary that was very much not the case

And that's how any relationship between them would start

There's a lot I could say about Mary and Dorcas, but what I will say, is that while they seemed like opposites at first they understood each other a lot more than either of them wanted admit

They learn a lot from each other, and really can get at each other in a way no one else can, different than Pandora with Dorcas

It's late so that's all I can formulate with them rn but I love love loveeee dormary so much and I think if I really shipped Dorcas with someone it'd be her

No need to specify, but also she'd low-key hate all of the marauders!!
