You need me now? ft Sabrina Carpenter- Rosekiller or Marylene, "I wanna say all bad things end/But right now, I'm not convinced" is so rosekiller situationship especiallyw hen they have internalised homophobia and think being in love with each other is a bad thing. Also "Don't tell me you need me now/You got your feelings back/I've heard it before/I'm tired of waiting around" is literally Evan talking about how Barty comes crawling back to him eveerytime he needs comfort. "I could have sworn you were heaven-sent/(You'll always be a setback)" is so Marlene worshipping Mary untill she realises she'lll never truly have all of Mary and she will always be holding her back. And "I'll be somewhere by myself in Hawaii/Doin' all the things we always wanted/Never did, why?'/Cause I waited for you/But your talk is cheap, all you do is leave" is Mary after the wawr thinking about how she couldve been with Marlene.

Midnight Love- Is so wolfstar, "I can't be your midnight love/Oh-oh-oh/When your silver is my gold/Oh-oh-oh/In this light, I swear I'm blind/Oh-oh-oh/In this light, I swear you're mine" especially the wolfstar situationship (Like atyd 6th year) with Remus thinking he's wanting something he'll never have and being blinded to how Sirius is hurting him. Also "Able to look you right in the eyes/Say I'm not your consolation prize" is so them after the prank with Remus feeling pressured into forgiving Sirius because of his trauma. And the line "I can't be your second best/ Close but not your favorite" is Remus feeling like he will never be Sirius favourite' because he's a boy and he's a werewolf and he represents the part of Sirius that he tries so hard to hide and to suppress.

I'll call you mine- Is so fortunkiller (peter x sybil) and Saintraven (emmeline x mary). "Sitting in the back seat/We're driving so fast/Living in a daydream/It's too good to last" is Sybil being Peter's escape form everything; his own insecurities, the war even his friends and Peter being Sybil's break from overwhelming guilt about not being able to do anything about her prophecies and her pessimism about fate. And the "Its too good to last" part is them both knowing it won't last because of the war and the decisions they make. "Show me that you really care/That you're really here/Show me that you'rе gonna stay/ On my worst days/ Hold me like you'll nevеr leave" is Mary and Emmeline who are falling in love throughout seventh year and the war and its Mary begging Emmeline to leave once she notices her losing her humanity to the war.

Girls- Is just every sapphic girl I fear. "They're so pretty, it hurts I'm not talking 'bout boys, I'm talking 'bout girls" is very Marlene Mckinnon coded bcs i see her as the only lesbian in her fg and she just deosn't understand what Mary and Lily are talking about when they talk about boys. "I should be into this guy/But it's just a waste of time/He's really not my type" is very much Black sisters (and also Emma Vanity bcs i hc her family tobe extremely patriachal) when their family introduce them to suitors for their arranged marriages.

I'll die anyway- Is very Remus Lupin about his lycanthropy, knowing that he has less time then the rest of his friends (my boy with bad health and suicidal ideation). "I think back to when/Life was good, I was content/But it's been so many years/I can't remember how it feels" is him thinking about how he was such a happy kid before the werewolf bite. "I guess I could say/I've learned to live this way/But it's still hard to find/Reasons to stay alive" is him once he's got used to living his life aroud the moon cycles but his life feels worthless because it revolves around something he can't control. "My questions are countless/ Looking for answers" is him going undeercover with werewolves during the war and getting lost trying to find some closure and explantion for why he is like this but never finding it.

Dead girl in the pool- The obvious answer is obviously Regulus but I also see this as Dorcas Meadowes. "There's a dead girl in the pool/There's a dead girl in the pool/There's a dead girl in the pool/I don't know what to do/I'm the dead girl in the pool/I'm the dead girl in the pool/I'm the dead girl in the pool" is so Regulus dissacioting and seeing himself drowning. Its also him struggling to come to grips with reality after becoig disillusioned with everything he's known once he realises he doesn't want to be part of the death eaters and tries to take down woldemort, "I can't stop staring at my face/My summer tan has begun to fade/Is this real or is this fake?/A creepy dream I can't escape". I think the part that stands out to me as dorcas meadowes is, "I'm the dead girl in the pool/What the fuck is going on?/I'm the dead girl in the pool, whoa///This is the morning after/My mind is such a disaste" is Dorcas feeling gulity and hungover after a slytherin party, knowing that the people she's been partyuing with will turn on her and she will turn on them.

I wanna be your girlfriend- Is either Saintraven or Marylene, "Oh, Hannah, tell me something nice/Like flowers and blue skies/Oh, Hannah, I will follow you home/Although my lips are blue and I'm cold" is emmeline to Mary, seeking comfort in her and quietly yearning for her but being too scared and insecure to do something about it. And "I don't wanna be your friend, I wanna be your bitch/And I wanna touch you, but not like this" is literally just best friends to lovers Marylene and thei rmutual yearning.

This is just my odd smattering lol, but I think it works for a lot of things! I have a ton of hcs just for ships, to pair ppl with different folks. For example if I feel like shipping Marylene, I'll put Pandora with sybill, and Emmeline with Doris, and Dorcas with Lily. And then I'll also do a sorta mixture like Mary with Lily and Marls, Panda with Sybill, Emmeline with Dorcas, or I'll do Panda and dorcas, Marls and Emmeline, Sybill and Hestia, Mary and Lily... truly the possibilities are ENDLESS
