hi orpheus !! :) i would LOVE to hear about heart, blade, crown
and i would love to tell you ok so basically i was scrolling through the seth gordon tag As One Does and came across a kevsethaaron fanart by @starless-liz and they added in headcanons about aaron having a bunch of sort of abstract/swiry tattoos across his back that seth does for him and i thought oooooo because if i see sethaaron + tattoos i short circuit. so i asked if i could write something about it and they said yes and now my mind has gone off the rails considering these things. anyway i am hoping to post it relatively soon if/when my life gets back on track and i'm excited to see what yall think
here is a piece for you
Aaron had seen Seth's tattoos more times than he could count. They weren't hard to miss, not when they all changed out in the same room, practice after practice, game after game. Thick, sprawling black lines over his shoulders and down his toned arms, sometimes turning into specific designs, like a skull with a snake slithering from its eye socket; while others stayed abstract, seemingly neverending patterns of ink that extended all the way to his knuckles. The part that intrigued Aaron, the main reason he looked, he told himself, was the expanse of bare skin that was Seth's back. It seemed like the most obvious of canvases, especially considering his chest and stomach were as covered in ink as his arms were, but between his shoulder blades, there was nothing. A couple scars, some freckles, and nothing.
This was usually the part where Seth caught Aaron looking and smirked, and Aaron pretended he'd been staring at his shoelaces the whole time.

for the wip game i’m soo curious about in my nightmares of the ocean :)
hellooo thank you! now this one takes its title of course from my beloved Infinite Baths by sleep token <3
so all this is thus far is me just rambling incoherently to myself in a note on my phone, but it centers around a dynamic i consider often but never talk about which is aaron & allison. its comes a lot from me drawing parallels between aaron and seth, and allison seeing their similarities. basically it's a oneshot thats just like a conversation/study of the two of them, where allison ends up talking to aaron sometime around her fifth year (his third or fourth i believe), and finds out that he still smokes. me i love cigarettes as narrative devices almost as much as nora does so it goes that aaron semi takes up smoking again because andrew is quitting so aaron basically does what andrew did to him when they were sixteen and steals his cigs and lighters and smokes them so andrew cant. andrew does somewhat ask him to do this but that doesn't mean he's happy about it.
ANYWAY. allison talks to aaron and they end up talking about seth and how she doesn't remember him the same way everyone else seems to remember him. and aaron says something about if you're the only person who sees the good side of somebody then you're the only one who will remember it when they're gone, and nobody will believe you. ends up becoming a conversation about grief and connection and aaron talks about his mom and allison talks about hers and they both talk about seth and it's.... a strange level of honesty from them both but not an entirely unwelcome one.
snippet under the cut <3
"I'm watching you," Allison threatened, pointing the glowing cherry of her cigarette toward him in warning. Aaron didn't even look over, just let out a hollow laugh, ashed his own cigarette against his knee.
"I'm not suicidal, princess."
"Don't call me that."
Aaron shrugged, taking another long drag before he spoke again.
"Alright. It's better suited to Kevin, anyway."
Allison allowed herself a meagre smile at that, and turned her gaze back to the sunset. It wasn't the first time she'd watched it from here, but the second she'd done so without Seth. This used to be their spot, their meeting-place, where Seth could smoke and Allison could rant, and they'd be isolated enough from the rest of the world that they could get their bearings before having to face it again. It'd been safe. The last time she'd come here, she'd been alone, and Seth had been dead.
It was a nice change, she supposed, to self-destruct alongside someone living.
