Dess was about the same age as Asriel was when they were kids, so by the time of Deltarune she’d be ready to go to college along with him. She probably wouldn’t want to, though, as she’s the one who used to protect Noelle when their father couldn’t, and with him in the hospital she’d definitely wanna stay to look after her little sister... making it all the more distressing that she’s currently nowhere to be seen...

Probably takes a bit more from their father’s side, and in turn inherited his darker hair. Might not have had a glowing red nose, though! Also- beanpole girl. Was as tall as their dad.

Dess and Asriel’s relationship was pretty similar to Kris’s and Noelle’s, except reversed- Dess was the delinquent troublemaker who’d drag him off on adventures and pull pranks on him, while Asriel was the kindhearted goody-two-shoes who’d be victim of her shenanigans only to laugh about them afterwards.

Also, uh, Asriel was apparently popular with girls in town (in the sense that his dorkiness was endearing, on top of just being cute) based on Bratty and Catty, so like. Just gonna leave that fact right here along with the one above for no particular reason.

Dess was a double-edged sword for Kris when they were all kids, because on one hand, they could pull off some absolute chaos together and terrify the town with their tomfoolery... but, on the other, she was incredibly protective of her little sister and would chase them around with her wiffleball bat anytime they terrorized her in Dess’s vicinity. She’s not like Asriel, she doesn’t care if you’re a little kid and she’s a big kid, she will bonk you without any shred of mercy.

Because of Dess being “scary but in a fun way” all her life, she’s come to associate the feeling of being playfully scared with her... and, in turn, it’s become kind of a comforting love language for her. That’s why she always smiles and laughs when talking about Kris’s past pranks on her.

If she was actually around to go into the Dark World, she’d probably have ended up with a skillset similar to Susie’s. Except, instead of an axe, she’d get a comically large club that, despite her lankiness, she’d swing around with very little effort. 

“ I’ve been talking with you for … ‘bout five minuets now, ” talking  ‘ with ‘ ? more like talking at - nevertheless he continues, “ So that  means we’re friends, right ? ”

when they were a kid, they used to fit easily under the bed. it was nice. even if everyone knew where they were after a while, even if people always knew where to find them, it was still nice. having a place all their own, a small place, a dusty place. underneath the bed, it’s hard to breathe. they have to lie on their stomach. and they played on their handheld console for so long that they would feel lightheaded. toriel’s scolded them for it, saying they’ll ruin their eyes. these days, arch doesn’t fit under the bed as well. they keep telling themselves that they’ll find a way to put the bed on stilts. with azzy’s old college textbooks, or something like that. but they never do.

so for now, they’re lying under the bed with their head and shoulders poking out, the tinny sounds of their handheld game softly blaring despite the night’s late hour. a finger twitches on the a button. their twin is sitting on their bed, on the other side of the room. kris. the three of them make the dreemurr siblings: azzy, archie, and kristian. they’re forced to wonder if kris feels weird that they don’t match the a-theme.

not that it actually makes arch any closer to asriel. there’s not much to be jealous of.

“Oh, you wanna make it a god? That can absolutely be arranged.” He grins, taking the furby from Kris and setting it aside. He had his pencil out and ready, poised to draw whatever blueprints would come to mind.

“Alright, shoot. What kind of speaker do you want? I can draw some blueprints no prob and hook you up like ASAP. I’m pretty damn good with building machines – I built all my weapons, y’know! Let’s do this.”
