Hey friends. So how is this "quarantine" treating ya?? We are having some fun. . I ventured out into the unknown of the grocery stores. Went to @staterbros and got my buns taken away because 2 was just too many for me. (But she didn't "notice" the lady in front of me had 2) So i left that place in tears and went to @ralphsgrocery where they had almost everything i needed. And i chatted with a nice clerk there and explained what Stater Bros did and she gave me extra cans of beans. *woot woot* and then i picked up my new favorite place to eat out @corkyskitchenandbakery DELISH on a cold rainy day. . I dreaded school because i was an emotional wreck but then these kids happened to me. Since they were born, they (and my other 4) have been my sunshine in the rain. Theyre the laughter i cant hold back when im sad and stressed. They are what keep me going. We did "school" for a good hour. I was proud. And i was happy. . Then i had wine and watched Star Wars and Married At First Sight and i am ending the night on a good note. . Bruh.... like... really??!! Its scary. Moms like me have been writing blogs and social media posts about how many times we have to sing the happy birthday song (THREE TIMES!!! 3!! Not 2 like people been saying) and we been sharing our lives to show what our "quarantine" and "isolation" life has been for us because we have special needs kids who are medically complex and immunocompromised. . Honestly i am happy to see that "regular" people... the kind of regular person i used to be, are finally understanding all this "social distancing". We have been living in a bubble for years. And now wearing a mask isnt giving off weird looks. Having hand sanitizer, lysol spray and clorox wipes in my purse isnt considered weird or too much anymore. Saying no to going out, parties, dinners... people understand now WHY we have said NO!! Im not being overbearing or over protective or overly cautious. . Its sad... and i dont know about any other special needs parents, but i finally feel like... wow. Events are being canceled and postponed around the globe to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. . . We received notification that the Desert Regional Medical Center is also being postponed until the fall. We were so hopeful to get together with you all and celebrate your NICU babies!! Everyone all paranoid over this Coronavirus, no one realizes there is an entire community of special needs families and immune suppressed kids that actually live this life every day, that lasts for months at a time, that goes on for years!!!! . .
