It’s an hour or so before sundown but Daniel’s been awake for most of the day, just gazing at the ethereal, otherworldly creature curled contentedly beside him in his bed, in his New York apartment—their New York apartment—with its blue sky, cloud covered ceiling, à la Michelangelo. You see, Armand's been spending most of his days—when he’s not strategising for revolution, or mind-cocking mid musicians in front of trains—getting a solid ten hours of shut-eye out of every twenty-four, in an effort to make up for the fifty-two years that he wouldn’t, or couldn’t sleep, because he was busy keeping Daniel’s mortal, fuck-ass alive.

These are supposedly Colombian military surplus machetes. I have no idea how true that is and either way they mostly feel cheap and kind of bad, but hey, I got all five for thirty-five dollars and for seven bucks each I wasn't expecting much more than handy beaters anyway.
