Byleth slowly blinked his eyes awake. His vision was still a little blurry but it slowly came back to normal. He looked around and saw he was in a windowless throne room covered in tattered drapes with the Faerghus Insignia on it and dimly lit torches. His head was pounding and something wet was dripping down the left side so he reached his hands up and immediately his finger was drenched in blood. “Don't move.” A low voice said and Byleth felt a sharp knife press firmly on his neck. He quickly looked up and noticed he was sitting in Dimitri's lap on his throne. Dimitri had a crazed look in his eye. Byleth looked down at his hands as they were tied and looked around frantically then stopped and scowled at Dimitri. “Why are you doing this? What do you want?” Byleth said. Dimitri sighed and caressed Byleth's right cheek. “You. Everything would've been different if you didn't choose that murderous hag over me.
