Lydia. Lydia's always up earlier so on the mornings they both have off work, she'll take her time pressing gentle little kisses all over until Laura stirs.

I love the idea of Lydia cooking up a storm while Laura watches from her position of exile at the breakfast bar. The AU I have always wanted involves Derek forcing Laura to take a cooking class because he's going away for a week and doesn't trust Laura not to burn down the apartment while he's gone. Laura turns up and is distracted by the fiery goddess teaching the class that she doesn't learn a thing. She does sign up for the follow-up class, however.

who is the morning person/night person

Lydia is the early bird. She rolls out of bed at seven in the morning though Laura's still convinced any time before ten, particularly on a weekend, is a figment of Lydia's imagination. Laura will crack an eye open, face smushed into the pillow, to watch as Lydia stretches and hums to herself, stripping off as she walks into the bathroom. She dozes a bit until Lydia reappears, towelling herself dry and getting dressed for the day. The sight of the pencil skirt and heels has Laura trying to coax Lydia back into bed and when Lydia laughs and bats her away, Laura retreats to the comfort of her downy nest, drifting off to the click-click-click of Lydia's heels on hardwood.

Laura likes to stay up late, curled up on the couch with a movie, Lydia already fast asleep tucked up under Laura's arm or curled in her lap. Laura likes the stillness, no morning coffee to make or errands to run, just the muffled sounds of the city and their neighbours doing who knows what. She likes the way Lydia curls into her, face twitching when a lock of hair falls into her face before relaxing again.

who is the romantic one

I want to say Laura? Laura's more outwardly romantic, I feel; more likely to stop by Lydia's office at lunch to present her with a rose, or leave post-it notes in the lunch she made up the night before. Lydia's more quiet, more subtle about her romantic side, running baths when she knows Laura's coming off a double shift, coaxing Laura onto the bed for a massage.

who is the top when it comes to sex

I think it's probably turn and turn-about for these two.

who would lead in ballroom dancing

Lydia. Lydia.

who is the more cuddly one

Laura's more likely to saunter up and wrap her arms around Lydia from behind, hooking her chin over Lydia's shoulder and pressing her face into her neck, nosing Lydia's hair aside. Lydia enjoys being wrapped up in Laura, and will crawl over the couch to cuddle, but rarely in public.

who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch

Laura. Lydia's only allowed to pick the movie once a month because it's always The Notebook and I love you Lydia but I've begin to foster violent thoughts about Ryan Gosling.

who is the one who would pay for dates

I think they both take turns, but I like the idea that Lydia, even just initially, went all out to wine and dine Laura, and still sometimes does, making her feel like a princess the way Laura makes sure she does every day.

who is the one who would initiate a quicky during classes

Laura. Thought it's unlikely Lydia would protest much. Or at all, really.
