it  was  the  middle  of  the  night,  late  by  anyone’s  clock.  the  young  woman  sitting  in  front  of  steve  was  clearly  burning  the  midnight  oil,  in  an  otherwise  darkened  law  firm.  the  men  who  had  their  names  emblazoned  on  the  door  were  nowhere  to  be  found.  ❝ ----- would  you  be  surprised  if  i  said  i  was? ❞  he  wasn’t  currently  in  the  market  for  legal  advice,  wouldn’t  do  him  any  good  as  a  WANTED  man.  what  he  needed  was  someone  who  had  a  knack  for  getting  access  to  information  other  people  couldn’t,  or  didn’t  want  to.   ❝ i’ve  read  your  work  ms.  page,  i’m  hoping  you  might  be  interested  in  lending  me  a  hand  with  something...  sensitive  in  nature. ❞
