Emerald hues rolled at the single adjective used to describe her stasis as sister to him as if he had ANY other sibling for her to compete with. Lex always had a funny way of showing his affection especially towards her. The young Luthor was more than ready to hit that hidden button that would signal one caped blonde hero to her side but as if he could read her movements before she even made them. His mocking surrender following his words had her halt just as the tip of her index finger grazed over the silent alarm, pulling back to allow her hand to rest on the desk. Lex with a peace offering? That ALWAYS had an ulterior motive, some kind of ploy to get her to once again trust him. Despite it being her favorite kind of donuts, she wouldn’t dare touch it. Surely it was poisoned or laced in ketamine. eating habits.
Querl doesn’t really eat because he likes it, he eats because he has to. As such, he prefers to eat a Coluan staple: nutrient gel. A packet of gel that contains all the nutrients needed for a single meal.
Outside of that, he is vegan. He’s never really eaten meat or dairy, so his stomach is intolerant of both. Even if it wasn’t, the very idea of eating dead flesh and animal liquid repulses him.

Querl is absolutely terrified of dying like his father did. He watched Kajz go from the second smartest person on the planet to a man who couldn’t even remember his own name.
This disease (which doesn’t have a canon name thanks dc) is native to Colu, there’s no cure, and it is deadly. But it isn’t the dying that worries him. The idea of losing all his memories - all his intelligence - is something that scares Querl so deeply he can’t really articulate it.
All he has is his mind; he’d rather be dead than be without it.

There are certain times of the year that Lillian finds more difficult than others. Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas. Mother’s Day is one of them. It’s a reminder of how she’s failed her children, and that she’ll never be able to change the fact that they hate her. She always spends the day working, trying to keep herself as busy as possible, trying to keep her mind off it all. So the arrangement of flowers that greets her when she arrives home is as surprising as it is... oddly welcome. Maybe she should be a little bothered by the fact that they’re all poisonous to varying degrees. Instead, she finds herself smiling as she sets the vase on the table, deciding to let herself enjoy the gesture, rather than question it.
