Where was their first official date? The observatory. Querl gets stuck in the 21st century when the time bubble breaks down, but thankfully it gives him and Kara a moment to rekindle what they had. As their first date, Kara suggests the Metropolis observatory.
What is their favorite date location? At home. It’s probably somewhere not too crowded (though Kara is always partial to movie dates). I could see them going to the cheap movie theater a lot, where they play older films and/or documentaries and independent movies.
How many dates before their first kiss? Does saving the world and their friends count as a date? Because it was right after that when Kara gave Querl a smooch and told him to give her a call next time he was around (and in the same time). Anyway, to answer the question: technically zero.
Who asked who out first? Definitely Kara, Querl was too busy pining and being too nervous to ask her out. Not to mention, Querl doesn’t actually like going out. He’d rather sit at home.
How many dates before they considered each other a couple? It feels like they were never NOT a couple, but there was that awkward text conversation where clarification was made. The circumstances were odd with Querl staying on Kara’s couch almost immediately though, but probably after at least a couple real dates they made it official.
How many mutual friends do they have? Quite a few (though Querl hates to admit that some of them are his friends), but several of the legion members are mutual friends.
Which one of their friends is most likely to get in between an argument between the ship? If he’s around, most likely Kon because he just doesn’t want it to be happening when he’s there. Or if it’s a legionnaire, probably Imra or Lyle.
Which one has more friends? Kara for sure. She is charismatic and warm whereas Querl gets easily annoyed and likes to tell people to leave him alone. Kara tries to get him to come out of his shell a little more though.
Which one has introduced the other to more people? Kara has made it a point to introduce Querl to her friends, however those who are Querl’s friends within the legion, well Kara made a point to introduce herself well before there was even the thought of them dating.
Did they start out as friends and made their way to a couple, or were they a couple almost right away? Honestly? Kara thought Querl hated her at first. He wasn’t kind when they first met (confused by his own feelings towards her) and this led to some conflict and outrage on Kara’s part. She threw him into a wall. But shortly afterward, she learned his intentions were good and they soon made amends and became more friendly. From there though, with how little they actually got to see each other, romantic feelings were nearly immediate, so they skipped the friend stage.
What do they argue about the most? Mostly small things, likely something that Querl has said (or something he hasn’t said) that may come off as insensitive and it upsets Kara. Maybe that he gets a little overprotective, especially after Kara’s resurrection and he’s maybe afraid to lose her again. Kara will get snappy at this, knowing fully well that she’s capable of taking care of herself.
How do they usually solve their disagreements? Early on in their relationship, it isn’t the easiest for disagreements to be resolved. It takes Kara time to figure out exactly how Querl expresses feelings and communicates on situations and she tends to get frustrated by this. Eventually though, when she gets to know how Querl thinks a bit more, they get better at having discussions about their disagreements and they can usually resolve the usual arguments pretty easily. Others? More serious? That’s another complication that takes maybe more than one conversation to resolve.
Do they argue a lot or not very often? Depends on what qualifies as an argument, but often enough Kara gets irritated by something said, and she’ll be stern about it momentarily – but only momentarily, and then she’ll soften again. Serious arguments are more rare, especially since Kara is not one who usually hides her emotions or how she’s feeling from Querl. This becomes more frequent after her resurrection though, because she’s confused and doesn’t really know how to feel. More arguments do stem from this, because of an emotionally filled frustration that Querl has. I need expand on this at some point, but this could be a whole meta in itself. Anyway, at that point they both need therapy.
Who admits to being wrong more often? LOL NOT QUERL. He on occasion does admit he’s wrong though, and only to Kara because he doesn’t like being wrong. Otherwise, if Kara is in the wrong she will admit it and apologize. Most of the time…sometimes she is stubborn.
Who is more likely to initiate sex? Kara, she’s much more forward and Querl quite a bit more shy.
Do they prefer to do it in a bed, or do they prefer a chair, or perhaps the shower? Maybe other spots? It definitely happens the most in bed, but Kara would probably try to initiate sex in new places. Probably in the lab at some point…
Do they practice any kind of bdsm in the bedroom at all and if so, what kinds? If any, it would be light. I don’t see Kara (or Querl for that matter) being super into hardcore bdsm.
Who’s usually more dominant in the bedroom? Kara, for sure. As mentioned before, she is the more bold one in the relationship.
Lights on or off? Querl always insists on lights off, because he’s pretty insecure with his own looks. But it doesn’t really matter since Kara can see everything anyway, regardless of the lighting situation. She’ll request at least some light though, for ambience.
Do they share any kinks? Hm, definitely pegging sorry not sorry for saying it. Aaand I could see a praise kink also being a shared like.
Does either one have any kinks that they don’t have in common with the other? I’m not entirely sure, but for Kara her kink is whatever Querl also likes. That’s what gets her going. So if she did have something she was interested in but Querl shakes his head at, it would quickly get put on the back burner for that very reason.
Have they ever had sex anywhere public before? Probably not. I don’t think Kara would even suggest it as it would make Querl very uncomfortable.
Who would be most likely to suggest bringing in a third person and who would that person be? Neither, they are both pretty monogamous and divulged with each other. They also go through quite a bit of distance in their relationship, so they are very much strictly into each other when they get reunited in various scenarios.
When are they most likely to cuddle? Anytime they get the chance/whenever they are alone at home
Where is their favorite place to cuddle? Kara is a fan of couch cuddles, especially in winter, just throwing a soft blanket over the two of them and snuggling up.
Who’s usually the big spoon? Kara is the big spoon for the most part. Unless she’s just having a really bad day or time and she needs to be held.
Do they cuddle often? After they get past the initial awkwardness of a starting relationship, nearly all the time. It’s disgusting how much they cuddle. They do not let go of each other!
MARRIAGE (I’m filling this stuff out based on our lil AU for the future)
Are they married? If not, is it something that could happen between them? In the future, yes they get married but it’s after Kara returns from being dead and after quite a bit of time. Kara is very much changed after coming back, and struggling to cope with it all. Querl is patient though and as they both heal and adjust to everything, they rekindle their relationship and eventually get married.
If they are married, where did they get married at? If not married, what is their dream wedding location? I’m not sure on location, but wherever it’s held, Kara wants to embody as much of a Kryptonian wedding as she can, without the full Raoism religious component inluded (for Querl’s sake). She’d try to have the traditional dress and head garb replicated and the customs too. Querl just likes to see her happy, so he goes along for the ride.
If married, who proposed to who? If not married, who would be more likely to propose to who? In this instance, it was Querl who proposed to Kara, prior to her death though. He wanted to do it before then since he knew it would come about but she didn’t. The proposal was done in the traditional Kryptonian way.
If they are married, which one moved in with the other? If not married, who would be more likely to move in with the other? At the time they get married, both Kara and Querl are legion members who have their own quarters at the legion headquarters. However, since Querl’s lab is attached to his quarters, it was easiest for Kara to move in with him. She definitely spruced up the place when she got there though.
CHILDREN (I’m filling this stuff out based on our lil AU for the future)
Do they have kids? If not, would they consider having kids? Yes! Somewhat canonically, but not quite. Basically OC babies not created by me lol
How many kids do they have? If no kids, how many kids would they want to have? They have 2 kids and that’s as many as they can handle.
What are the children’s names? If no kids, what would they name their kids? The children’s names are Alura (older daughter) who is named after Kara’s mother and who is a mean lesbian and Kal (younger son) who is named after Kara’s cousin and Querl’s close friend Kal-El aka Superman.
What are three random headcannons you have about the ship that are not related to romance or sex? 1) Even though she knows that every puzzle available in the 21st century and on (jigsaw, rubiks cube, etc.) is like a wooden children’s puzzle to Querl, Kara still gets them for him as little gifts every so often as a small gesture; 2) Querl insists that the only thing he needs to consume is nutrient gel and kona juice, but Kara is set on cooking and figuring out different vegan foods that he’ll enjoy; 3) After Kara’s death, Querl falls apart and really does nothing to take care of his hair like before, even allowing it to grow out. When Kara returns and finds him like this, she finds that she likes the long hair and without the gel he used to use to style it. As a result, she hides any and all of his hair products to prevent him from styling the untamed blonde locks she loves so much.
Which one is more likely to suggest getting pets? Definitely Kara, but she’s not pet crazy. She’s happy with one cat or dog at a time (like Streaky)
Which one eats more snack foods? Kara, particularly because she loves eating all the snacks with no repercussion on her health. Querl however is the opposite. He’s too busy being a nerd to eat snacks. <3
What is their favorite movie to watch together? Not actually a movie with a plot, but Querl likes nature documentaries, so as sad as it makes Kara to watch it (and she definitely cries every time), they like to watch March of the Penguins.
What is their favorite tabletop game to play together? Dungeons and Dragons! Kara knew nothing about it, but Querl and Tim explained it to her and now (with their other friends) it is their fave tabetop game to play.
What are your three absolute favorite things about this ship? 1) The fact that Kara gets to see a side of Querl that he doesn’t show to anyone else; 2) This relationship has lasted YEARS, both in the world of writing and in canon. Their relationship survives anything. It transcends time and worlds and somehow they always make it back to each other in some way (except recently fuck bendis); 3) The fact that no one on the outside of their relationship understands why Kara is so into Querl. They are all baffled and confused.
What is one thing you don’t like about this ship? That it was taken away from me when Gates didn’t get to write another Supergirl book jk jk (but not really). Actually just that one instance in which Querl decided spying on Kara through a telescope was how you expressed feelings.
