But the idea that Color’s favorite color is blue, and that Killer dresses in blue in the good ending.. something scratched my brain this morning. Killer doesn’t want to be associated with the player. Killer doesn’t want to be associated with red, probably. That’s just another thing we’ve assigned to him. Another thing we WANT him to be. Every Killer is canon because every Killer is the result of what *we* want him to be. As the players, we control his entire functionality..

Toriel moves to the Ruins after leaving her husband. Shes distraught, after having lost her children and leaving everything she knew behind. Until one day, she spots a bake sale. By spiders, of spiders, for spiders. She purchases a baked good and shares a baking tip with the spiders, which they share with Muffet. Muffet eventually sends a letter to Toriel to thank her or say something, and Toriel decides to send a letter back, this time with her very own butts pie.

But that’s okay. Because as long as they get the chance to live their lives—as long as Ink can fulfill his duty as the protector of the multiverse..

But I still think it’s weird that, without Ink’s vials, people won’t even theorize that there COULD be something there. Maybe Ink just hates the emptiness so much, or maybe he wasn’t given enough time to realize he WAS feeling something before the vials came into his life.

So I’m taking this psych class and they’re teaching us about emotions. It’s actually very fascinating—but my prof brought up the idea for the ‘Six Universal Emotions’.. there’s more, but the ones we learned about are Happiness, Sadness, Anger, Surprise, Fear, and Disgust.. so I’m gonna base Ink’s vials around those, since you *can* mix those around to feel emotions. (Contempt = Anger + Disgust, for example.) Also, I asked. Turns out that love is a *consequence* of feeling multiple emotions and can also *result* in multiple emotions. (Being in love makes you happy, but losing that love makes you sad, etc.)

There’s also differences between emotions, mood, and affects:

Emotions are *conscious* reactions to an event. Like if your grandma mails you a card and you think ‘wow, that makes me happy.’ That’s an emotion.

Moods are *unrelated* to events. Completely. It’s why we say things like ‘I dunno, guess I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed’ when we’re upset for no reason.

Affects are sort of like the in-between. Its moods for emotions you can’t name. When you respond to an event with an emotion, but it’s not *conscious.* like let’s say your grandma mails you a card and you don’t think ‘I’m happy,’ but it gives you a more positive affect throughout the day
