So like... does everyone watching DR in the V3 world know that people in the TV show die for real or what? Because I feel like they wouldn't keep going if they knew.
I think the implication is that the audience has dehumanized the participants to the point where they feel it doesn’t matter? Since they signed off on a waiver and gave up their own personhood, it’s okay? That’s Shirogane’s excuse, at least.

It's called Kami Quest! I chipped in to the Kickstarter for it a couple weeks ago. There's still a little under a week to go if you want to throw down 15 bucks for a digital copy of the game.
Like I said, the demo has some rough edges, but it's really scratching that itch for an old school, 5th gen 3D platformer. Got about an hour or so out of it.
The art direction leans a bit more 90s PC game, or perhaps even experimental Sega-esque if you will (think: Nights into Dreams type stuff). The hub world is really giving One Saturday Morning opening cinematic imo.
Speaking of platformers that feel spiritually "weird early 3D era Sega", I've heard Eternity Egg is pretty good as well. Haven't played that one myself tho.
