When I first sculpted this figure, it was supposed to be a big bust version of my chibi Knight Blooms figurines, and would hold a flower. But after fiddling around with it for months, I found it can also double as a jewelry holder.

The Mending Collection is for revolutionary Dreamers who fight for the love they hold for themselves, their communities, and the inclusive futures they’re trying to protect. These rings honor survival, grief, adaptability, and rest, embracing healing that doesn’t look away from reality.

Rooted in disability inclusive design and grounded in intersectional justice, the collection reimagines armor as something that protects while still allowing softness, change, and growth. Designed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) in mind, these rings welcome anyone who believes in collective care, dignity, and building a more just future together.

Much of my 2025 was dedicated to perfecting these three little designs, part of the Lumecluster Wonderlands Collection.

At first, It seemed like a strange departure from making art toys, but it allowed me to continue expanding Hawthorn's little world and fill it with tiny bronze and silver jewelry sculptures to complement the vinyl and resin art toys.

The second and third photos show me, and my sister wearing the pendants for scale purposes.

I made one-part molds for these jewelry dishes, and every once in a while, a casting fails. But it's usually the dish part, and I manage to save the little rabbit, so it's ready to be used in another project 🐰

Wonderlands Collection In an increasingly fractured world, the Wonderlands Collection offers story-rich, protective jewelry to shield the soul. Created by Melissa Ng in collaboration with her sister, art toy designer Fiona Ng, these intimate pieces draw inspiration from tales like Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, and Journey to the West.
