-repulsed and -averse characters in and around Aros Against Fate
Jue (ze/hir): extremely romance and sex repulsed (textually very important), somewhat touch averse in most circumstances
FiitsĂŁn (he/him): sex (or, extrapolating from his experience of kissing) favourable in theory but suddenly becomes averse when the attraction is reciprocated. I think he kind of freaked out the first time this happened because it was very confusing
Halek (he/him): usually fairly sex favourable but becomes very averse sometimes, generally tied to his emotional state to some extent. Romance ambivalent with some aspects of aversion. Sometimes touch averse when the PTSD acts up
KaelĂa (she/it): sex and romance averse (doesnât know that yet)
Guodei (she/her): sex, romance, and touch repulsed, possibly plato averse
Līs (he/they/she/xe/fae): sex averse, often touch averse for sensory reasons
ZheâÄrani (she/her, they/them): leaning touch averse (with varying intensity) for sensory reasons, usually romance indifferent-leaning-averse and sometimes romance repulsed
Sei (they/them, she/her): becomes more and more romance averse the longer sheâs in a relationship/the closer she becomes with the object of her attraction. Finds this frustrating
Trais (she/her, ze/hir): touch averse
Luivo (varies, they/he/she): touch averse
Itheo (they/she): romance repulsed
Qeirana (ze/hir, he/him): romance and plato averse
Gwimwyl (she/her): extremely touch-averse except with Ffwyn for magical reasons that let her body actually register Ffwyn as safe in a way she canât with anyone else despite wanting to
hey, as April is autism month and I am autistic...

MĂĂșren: she/her; in her 50s; Halekâs mother; level 1, lower support needs (as a baseline with regards to her autism, though her overall support needs become temporarily higher when she is experiencing a particularly bad chronic illness flare up or a bad mood episode or bad psychotic episode), speaking; has informal/semi-formalized accommodations at work with her coworkers and direct supervisors and any students/lab assistants/research assistants who join the team

Jaision: she/her; 16 at the start of the story; Seiâs sister; level 3, high support needs, nonverbal; has an unknown degree of intellectual disability (it is hard to test for because itâs unclear whether she canât comprehend things or is just not very receptive to other people)
JÄn-TajanÄ: she/they/he; around 8; Seiâs sibling; level 2, moderate-to-high support needs, semiverbal; uses an AAC tablet and has a professional caregiver
HaisĆ«: she/her; adult; Seiâs aunt; level 1, low support needs
Yalau: she/her; around 11; Seiâs cousin; level 3, high support needs, nonverbal
Trais: ze/hir to everyone except maybe herself (complicated situation); around 19 or 20; Daanahâs colleague; level 1 except in the communication area, low-to-moderate support needs, nonverbal; mostly uses a small portable chalkboard to communicate with writing, wears a bandana around her neck to wipe away drool
KaelĂa (17) is demiplatonic, like it is for every type of attraction. It feels platonic attraction to LÄ«s and Nesyue. It has 3 friends: LÄ«s, ZheâÄrani, and Qatriong (and then 2, after Qatriong⊠well, spoilers); it considers the rest of them (including Nesyue) family, people it has a duty to, etc, and will sometimes use âfriendsâ to refer to all of them as a group, but doesnât actually consider their relationships to be friendship. KaelĂa is a main character.
LĂ (15) is aplatonic. Theyâre plato-favourable and are best friends with Daanah, for whom they currently have alterous feelings (but havenât always; they live close together and go to school together and have always spent a lot of time together which led to friendship), and friends with Reeha, whom they are not attracted to in any way but have known for a long time. They become friends with Jue, driven by circumstance pushing them together, LĂâs aesthetic attraction, and Jueâs platonic attraction. They were in a toxic friend group when they were younger, but that has nothing to do with their aplatonicism, as theyâve always been aplatonic. LĂ is a main character.
Sei (18) is aplvague. She only engages in friendship through her special interests in fashion and animals. She also has difficulties with communication, object permanence, recognizing that other people have different internal worlds, noticing and paying attention to other people, etc, which also heavily impact how she relates to others and engages in friendship. Sei is a main character.
Maaziariitna (17) is probably apl-spec- she doesnât bond with people easily due to her ASPD, and though she doesnât mind having friends once the bond is established, she doesnât seek out friendship or feel like sheâs missing anything without it. Heâs a main character.
Guodei (21-ish) is aplatonic and not interested in friendship. She had a best friend once and was forced to kill her, so itâs very possible she is specifically caedplatonic. She is an important secondary character, with a close relationship and many interactions with KaelĂa.
[Leska] (19) is aegoplatonic. Sheâs a supporting character later in the story.
ElĂšrĂ (hundreds of years old) is aplatonic. He goes through periods of more and less interest in friendship and partnering, and his interest is currently low. He appears a couple times.

Sorry if you were trying to get LĂ or LÄ«s, but Iâm giving out side characters today so you get Luivo!
Full name: Luivo Otuikas-Ălogh
Gender: genderfluid
Sexuality: finromantic (attracted to feminine people) and nominsexual (attracted to non-masculine people); wouldnât use those words or any words to describe his sexuality, because he doesnât understand that sort of abstract construct and instead just experiences attraction, but for my reference of what the trends of his attraction are those are the words in my notes.
3 important relationships: Maaziariitna (stepsisterbrother), [Kip] (boy they see regularly at the afternoon arts and crafts program for cognitively disabled youth and has become close with over the past few years), and [Asami] (girl they see almost every day at their day program and have been friends with since they were both very small).
2 fears: being left behind/left alone or with unfamiliar people who donât understand her, and getting hurt because she doesnât understand that something is unsafe
1 backstory element: he and Maaziariitna became stepsiblings about eight years ago.
