He didn’t send any word that he was coming, and he made Leia promise not to as well. Wanted to surprise them, especially Ben. He dropped Chewie off on Kshyyyk for a little bonding time with his own relatives before steering the Falcon off toward Luke’s temple, eager to see both his son and his old friend, as it had been a while since he had had a break from his work large enough to do so. He missed the kid terribly, especially when Chewie would grumble about how he was getting too old to keep smuggling.

But he landed after a jump to light speed, not wanting to waste time putzing around. Thankfully it was daylight, and the weather was nice and clear. He punched in a few commands to the computer to keep the ship priming a few things before he opened the gangway and walked off, heading towards the nearby building just beyond all the grass.

But he didn’t even make it to the entrance when he was practically tackled to the ground by his 10 year old, Ben laughing with glee as Han chuckled, sitting up slowly. “Easy there kid, you’ll end up knockin’ my ass out.”
