help im in love with coriolanus snow
i am going to work on writing some oneshots because they're more fun to write than my actual book. so, if you have any requests please send them in!
boyfriend omg
Lucy Gray and the Covey!
Lucy gray killed with the power of hydration, hugs and track & field
(Chunked a snake at someoneā twice)
What an absolute L E G E N D
My extremely postponed bosbas sketch compilation of LG. This was my interpretation of her appearance from what I noted of her in the book
In the past, I prided myself to stay as canon accurate as I could while adding humor⦠for this, I really had to fight myself because (at the time) I was seeing a lot of fanart drawing Lucy Gray with a delicate cute face⦠Meanwhile I was aiming to draw her as if she was going to jump someone, but had a brain not to.
Hereās my depiction of Lucy Gray. Kinda just more curly hair and a ball of chaos on the inside, show woman on the outside. My interpretation of her outward persona was a girl hiding the fact she was pissed and was ready to cast a metaphorical middle finger to the Capital.
Maybe not 100% accurate to me if Iām being honest (I need to reread the book, Iām just bad at reading) but at the same time Iām not wrong. We never TRUELY know whatās going on in her head.
Her whole thing is āSheās an enigma/mysteryāØāØā (or maybe Snow just canāt read women). So with that freedom, Imma have fun. Snow deserves to be drawn as ugly as I can, I have that power as an artist.
(Side note: I have a pretty hard time drawing ādelicate featuresā on someone without putting crazy in their eyes. Idk no one is that nice and elegant in my eyes unless theyāre wearing a powdered wig and or are named Effey Trinket.)
I was attempting to have this little crazed air to her for Snow to believe sheās a bit weird when they first meet (which is one of my favorite scenes; it makes me laugh to see Coriolanus mentally suffering)
My enterpretation of the scene was she was freaking him out on purpose while putting on a performance for fun (even when sheās scared)
I started working in this in December (I think) and now itās February⦠I have my reasons.
Youāre as pure as the driven, snow...
Some sketches of my current obsession, I love to draw them !! (I almost finish the book which is incredible)
It's also one of my first digital drawing on a tablet and not a phone, so I try to learn how everything works and I'm super motivated and I have so many ideas of future illustration !š

The Hunger Games Return: A Deep Dive into āThe Ballad of Songbirds &Ā Snakesā
Hey there, movie enthusiasts! Settle in because on November 17, 2023, āThe Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakesā graced the screens, treating fans to a captivating journey into the dark and enthralling world of Panem. Under the skillful direction of Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collinsā prequel novel, the film promised to unveil the mysteries of the Hunger Gamesā origins, unfolding a tale set 64 years before Katniss Everdeenās iconic arrival to the arena.
A Glimpse into Panemās Past: Coriolanus Snowās Tale Unfolds
Now, letās dive into Panemās past with the main man himself, young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth. Heās navigating the tricky terrain of the 10th Annual Hunger Games, once a part of the fallen Snow family. Now, heās unexpectedly thrown into the role of mentor for Lucy Gray Baird, played by Rachel Zegler, a tribute from the struggling District 12. The film explores Snowās moral struggles, tangled relationships, and his surprising journey from privilege to the edge of power.
Star-Studded Ensemble: A Stellar Cast Graces the Screen
And can we talk about the cast? A bunch of stars that had us counting down the days! Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, and Jason Schwartzman brought their A-game. Davis rocked as Dr. Volumnia Gaul, the mastermind Gamemaker with a seriously sinister imagination. Dinklage was the brains behind the Hunger Games as Casca Highbottom, and Schwartzman added humor and charisma as Lucretius āLuckyā Flickerman, a distant relative of the original trilogyās charming host.
Beyond Survival: Privilege, Exploitation, and Power Unveiled
Now, āThe Ballad of Songbirds & Snakesā wasnāt your typical survival thriller. It went beyond the previous Hunger Games entries, digging into deeper topicsāāāprivilege, exploitation, and power. All of this unfolds in a condemned amphitheater where the lives of tributes hang in the balance. Coriolanusā moral tug-of-war and his intricate bond with Lucy Gray Baird promised a storyline packed with unexpected twists, giving us a fresh take on Capitol society.
With a mix of new faces and familiar elements from the Hunger Games universe, the film hit the sweet spot. This movie works as a great expansion of the world created by Suzanne Collins. As we got lost in the roots of Panemās most infamous tradition, āThe Ballad of Songbirds & Snakesā is set to make a lasting mark on the Hunger Games legacy. It was a thrilling and thought-provoking joyride, inviting us to revisit the dystopian universe that first captured our hearts and witness the rise of a young Coriolanus Snow. Fingers crossed the odds stay forever in our favor!

Are we not going to talk about how the only reason Lucy Gray left Snow was because she figures out his decision before he did and knew that she would die either by Snows hand or the Mayors. Not only did she figure that out though she created a plan to distract Snow and executed it causing Snow to think he was going to die. Like she KNEW that the snake she grabbed wasnāt poisonous and you canāt tell me otherwise. This is the girl that knows where to find the snakes, as Maude put it. Like Lucy wasnāt a needless killer she just needed a distraction.
This also shows the applications of Snow and Lucyās beliefs on humanity. Lucy believes that humans are good even if they do cross over the line, while Coriolanus believes that humans are inherently bad. Snow tried to kill Lucy (and may have succeeded) as soon as he thought she left even though he knew she wouldnāt rat him out in anyway. Meanwhile Lucy knew that snow would try and kill her so she set up a harmless trap to trick him. Lucy was good and didnāt cross the line into killing but used her witts to trick Snow into hysteria most likely hoping heād leave her alone.
āYou canāt take my charm.
You canāt take my humor.
You canāt take my wealth,
āCause itās just a rumor.
Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping.ā
I tried to draw Lucy Gray from The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. This particular moment is supposed to be at the reaping.
I donāt know what she actually looks like, so I just drew what I thought she might look like from the descriptions in the books. I could imagine her in so many different ways though!š
