Truthfully it was uncomfortable just being next to her, forced to recall her own years of servitude at the hands of a Diamond.

“So....you’re her Pearl.”

Why was she asking her that? Yellow Diamond felt... embarrased. Why, she wasn’t entirely sure.

Oh, yes. Maybe because the whole matter was embarrasing.

“I- Yes. I am a Diamond, and pretty much the only one who do what Homeworld needs her to do. Naturally I have thought about the possibility of increasing the number of Diamonds.” A pause. “Have you?”

Yellow Pearl was always so happy when White Diamond would visit. Not only was she one of the most radiant and brilliant Diamonds in the authority but she actually enjoyed her company! That was quite rare. Most gems found Yellow Pearl to be snooty and annoying. Even her own Diamond at times.

She carefully stepped onto the White Monarch’s palm. A grin painted across her face in delight.  “It’s always an honor to speak to you your grand clarity! I always look forward to your visits. What would you wish to discuss?”

White brought her hand back up gently, as she wanted yellow’s pearl to be comfortable with speaking to her- there were very few who were.

        Sheena liked Pearl --- she was definitely a character, made her         laugh, was fun to hang out with, but she had this habit of getting         hung up on little things, and Sheena... wanted to help her learn         how to lighten up.

     “You gotta learn... to let go Goldilocks...”

Daybreak stretched out across the horizon as The Roundhouse cleaned up their little campsite from the night before. Traveling from one day to the next reaching show after show became pretty taxing for them all, so they did sleep on a regular basis. Yet, they didn’t mind. After all, seeing the smiles of joy on the audience faces was enough to keep them going no matter what! They just ADORED appeasing humans. Something common for few Gems who once served under Pink Diamond, and by extension, Rose Quartz of the Crystal Gems if they so chose. They did.

“We’re behind schedule... Again! Move it, Rubies!” Plum Pom huffed with impatience, no matter how early they awoke each day, time continued to act as their enemy. Yet from time to time, she was known to be... Rather pushy.

“Woah, simmer! We’re fine. Like always.” Dim Darling only rolls her eyes, they’d get there in time. Like always. Plum was just being... Plum. So they continued to work until everything was gathered, and they were pretty much ready to go now. And they almost did except...

   She never expected to be given anything. The taller gem stares     at the Pearl before her, her rather surprised expression slowly     softening into a smile. Citrine had no idea what to do, or how to     act with a Pearl. She wasn’t quite demanding, or leadership     material. She was a healer, and only partook in combat when it    was necessary.
