“Me neither. I never wanted any of this. I never wanted to cause all this pain and misery. I had to. They finally gave me a chance. To be like them. To be a ruler. I just wanted to show them I was just as important as them. In order to do that I had to destroy what I loved. I was able to save my humans and their plant life but it wasn’t enough. i can never make up for this.”

She looked at them in confusion. “You’re not one of my bubbled rose quartzes and you’re not the one who shattered me. I’m so confused. You have her gemstone. Who are you?”

       ☆  – They hadn’t realized that when this day would come they would be so unprepared. Steven lived most of his life ready to take up the stand that ROSE QUARTZ stepped away from. And his knight, Connie, prepared to be by his side every step of the way. Stevonnie,a  conglomeration of them both felt ready. But the fusion could hardly understand what they feel.

               Stevonnie rubbed at the stubborn fat globs of tears still spilling over their round cheeks. Pink’s admittance to her own reluctance in taking any part of Earth’s colonization confused and relieved the half-Gem. They couldn’t pretend to understand what the Diamond Authority was thinking about the entire ordeal. But they could guess what the leader of the Rebellion might have thought.

“ What? I have a very good reason for being mad about breakfast. Lemon eggs should be accepted as normal. “ he huffed. This person was very strange but they knew him too well to be fooled like others. He wondered why Steven always tried to be nice to him. What about his reputation. Kevin eyed the sugary food and picked out one that looked like it might be lemon flavored. He sniffed it suspiciously. “ I mean… that Connie kid was mad at Steven…for,“ he paused at looked at them. “ Why was she mad? “

      ☆  – Their response was a tinkling laugh they couldn’t hide back. It was just so Kevin. They were sort of amazed they could read him as well as they could, especially considering their first meeting and the few subsequent meetings.   ❛ Suuuure. ❜

  The diamond merely rolled over onto her stomach as she paid mind for once, pink finger poking at the turtle’s shell gently. “Look,” she piped up letting her cheek rest on her free hand. “I’m the RUNT of the diamonds, not to mention the youngest, and they think I’ve been dead for how many thousand years now? They won’t listen to me. I’m going to have more luck making an army out of those… bork-y things that people keep as servants.” She means dogs. “And why should I help the Crystals Gems anyway? They never did me anything other than put me in a bubble. Not fun, by the way.”

        ☆  – Pink had a point, they admitted. Uncomfortable blood existed between the Diamonds for thousands of years. Stevonnie wasn’t blind to their obvious relationship. Not to mention the sweeping hate between Crystal Gems and Homeworld. A peace seemed impossible. But the fusion was determined. They had to do this.    ❛ We’ll just have to make them listen. It won’t be easy. But you ARE a diamond too. And this is still YOUR colony. Yellow seems logical, and Blue especially missed you. As long as we play to that, they have to listen. We have to keep positive. ❜    By now their eyes were sparkling by now in positive reinforcement.

         The fusion giggled a little. ❛ You mean dogs. ❜  They brushed a strand of hair behind their ear.    ❛  It’s not just about helping the Crystal Gems. It’s about helping all of Homeworld too. Just think about how many Gems who are just like the Crystal Gems. Who’s to say something like this won’t happen again?  ❜
