Let’s talk about Stress training for a moment... Not the specific technique, but the goal... The big picture. Sometimes understanding why we’re doing things and what we’re trying to achieve as an end result helps us to visualize how to implement the steps to get there. Understanding where you’re trying to end up helps clarify what we are doing. In the second photo you’ll see a bushy plant. This is at about three weeks. This is when we want to stress train, when it’s not flowering yet and it’s very pliable. If you look back at the first photo now you see what we’re trying to achieve. See how open that is? Originally this plant was very dense. It was a thick jungle. It almost look like a cut away 90% of the plant when I stress strained it but all I did was open it up. The point is to spread it out and open it up in all directions so that the light can penetrate down deeper and growth that’s lower down below can come up and fill in the voids.
