This year is my first time taking part in a Milk Community Event, and it's one of the most fun ones - growers!
The rest of the post hidden under the cut are the graphics and text from Day 1 of getting to know Petal :)
Lovingly Cultivated By: ameli
Planted: 26/05/2026
Seed Name: Petal
Seed Theme: we'll find out!
Grown By: Me, Anwyn!
As I finally made my way back to Milk after a long time trekking the wilds of Petz, there it was. A curious little booth with 43 unique seeds.
All these seedlings are rare specimens, the result of their original cultivators effort and love, so selecting just a handful to see who RNG would send home with you seemed impossible. Then I noticed Seed 10.
Seed 10 seemed to strangely had very little interest. A little bigger than the other seedlings, a little less chubby, but with a huge smile and happy expression. At that point I knew, I wanted to watch her grow.
As per the rules, I entered for multiple seeds, but secretly hoped it would be this little one who'd come home with me. Eventually another name popped up alongside my own, Thor! At last someone else could see the potential in this little green mystery.
Then, a discord notification, from Lacey. RNG had favoured me, and Seed 10 was officially mine to grow!
Officially received on the 26th May, after taking a brief peek to make sure everything looked okay they were given 24 hours to settle in before we started meeting them properly.
Time to stop the ramble, let's meet the lovely Petal on their first full day here at Puddleducks!
Meeting Petal
Other than Petal's name and lovely green colour, there are not many clues as to her eventual theme! Which I love. I'm pretty sure I know what her theme is, as the name is very telling, but how that's been interpreted by Ameli is the exciting part!
Proportionally she's very similar to my OG Code Baby Hope, size wise she seems to be a little closer to Balderdash currently. It'll be interesting to see if she grows to Balderdash's height (or taller!) as she grows.
One thing I will say is that she came to me knowing how to walk, which whilst very amusing I've had to nip in the bud. There will be no walking here. Not until she's actually running her own stall!

Petal's Journal
I've been told that before Anwyn will let me run my stall, I have to learn how to look after our stock. I thought we'd just be buying them in from wholesalers, but no, apparently I have to grow my *own* flowers! Can you believe it!

no stock yet, Petal needs to learn a few things first!
