Would you all say that if someone chronically didn’t have a sense of taste or smell, that this would be comparable to blindness and deafness?
Also another thing is… I’ve always wondered what to collectively call these things. The best term I’ve come across is sensory disability.
But I know a lot of hoh/deaf people at least don’t like to be described that way. Though I personally will contest that and say being hoh at least is a disability.
Or rather, I think it can be.
Only thing I can think of is something like low sensing people, or sensory deprived, or something like. I definitely think there’s a gap here.
