Marty-centric trauma (Rust/Marty if it ends up that way) Not to show my preferences too blatantly, but there's already a lot of emphasis on Rust and Rust's psychological damage and I'd love to see something that explored what Marty's been through. Rust's been through a lot but Marty's been there with him through a lot of it and seen and experienced most of the same things plus some things all his own (I mean the baby thing alone, jeesh). Plus having willfully pulled himself out of it to get dragged back in to help Rust. Is Rust the only one waking up with nightmares? Or with a big nasty scar now? Does Marty try and hide it under machismo or does it bubble up all of sudden and strangle him? Does he try and keep it from Rust thinking Rust's the only one allowed to break down? Give me Marty trying to deal with the shit he's seen and it actually having an impact. (And if it ends up Rust/Marty all the better - maybe Rust sympathizes? Makes him feel closer to Marty? Or guilty? Upset that he wasn't the only one who got damaged?)
