SUBLIME CINEMA #355 - SID & NANCY
It seems sometimes that Gary Oldman has appeared in just about everything, and he’s still very much here, more present on the screen than ever these days, having managed to largely avoid being typecast as a villain in recent projects, or being relegated to a cut rate TV or streaming series starring role which many actors of his caliber have had to resort to.Â
He has selected roles that have both capitalized on his ruggedness as an actor, but which are also challenging, thoughtful pieces. Sid and Nancy is a tragedy, visceral and dark, and a great Alex Cox film and cult favorite that deserves a mention.Â
