An alluring juxtaposition between the inevitability of brokenness within a family and the child refugee situation at the border. Luiselli mixed these themes with sins of the past: nuanced tales of the Indian Removal Act. Books I've picked up recently but haven't gotten around to yet. @djwskyblu's debut, @trewrussellbrand and #SaveTheCat on the non-fiction side. Reviews put #TheWall and @tjenkinsreid on the list. #TheBinding and #TheDreamers made me curious. Flicking through the #LostChildrenArchive in @waterstones made it click with me straight away. I'm absolutely shocked and appalled to see #TheMister in the pile. I was buying candles and chocolate in the supermarket and felt compelled to pick it up.
