here it is guys!!!! The second part of the art collab @dorki-dorki-universe and I did!!! This is Alex fierro, I did the line art, and she colored. She doesn't really know pretty much anything about Alex so cut her some slack guys.

In a world where Ultron has never existed / defeated early / everything is calm, Francis S. Barton was born to Barbara “Bobbi” Morse and Clint Barton on October 12th.

HISTORY.

Francis was a very happy kid with loving parents. Being the only child, it was hard not being the centre of everybody’s attention.

Francis became very interested in Science at an early age, having caught his mother doing a “chemistry trick” when he’s around four years old for fun. He forces his parents to buy all of the books about how to make cool experiments like that.

Despite it was chemistry that first got him into Science, eventually Francis became interested more in fixing tools and learning how physics work. He still make stuff explodes for fun, on the side. Usually with mom.

He was trained in light self-defence, in disguise of “exercising/spending time with his parents” — because honestly, I don’t imagine Clint or Bobbi wanted Francis to be vigorously trained as though they were going to send him to war, but I do think they keep Francis fit and just physically strong enough to defend himself — and he discovers this particular talent when he socked a bully right in the jaw. The bully was older than him. Francis was seven.

When Francis was 9, he found out his parents were actually Avengers and he started getting really worried because what if the next time they walked out, they never came back.

Francis stole as many highly classified files he could using any means necessary (e.g.: bribery, hacking, actual theft) just to keep up with his parent’s health and status because he keeps getting really anxious whenever they’re not around. Bobbi discovered some of the files and records stashed under his bed when he was ten. That would be the first time Francis had a big fight with his parents.

Bobbi and Clint officially taught Francis how to properly defend himself in a fight as coping mechanism — I would believe — so Francis can always know how his parents were able to handle themselves during battle. In the end, the Bartons don’t really talk about the actual issue regarding Francis’ anxiety over their jobs , some of it due to Francis’ own stubbornness , and Francis began learning how to keep his anger internalised.

He started really hating the Avengers at age eleven, and praying day by day that he won’t wake up one day as an orphan.

Francis quit school at age twelve before he could be expelled due to his tendencies to be caught in fights, and Bobbi began making arrangements to have Francis home-schooled.

At age thirteen, Francis was picked up by a model agency. It turned out, he was really good in front of the camera.

He tried his first sip of alcohol when he was fourteen. He started drinking more when he was fifteen.

Francis’ modelling career picked up. He also looked more into war patterns and military defences. Francis gets in touch with the US Armed and Marine Forces, writes reports about them. He starts thinking about colleges.

He stays in England at the age of sixteen, wants to do his A-Levels there.

But it still gets worse. Alcohol, drugs and sex becomes an escape whenever Bobbi or Clint walks out of the house. He gets into fights too, a lot. Sometimes too much. He doesn’t know how to stop it.

He thinks maybe he should talk about it — his fear, his anger — but the longer he doesn’t, the longer it’s hard for him to do.

Then suddenly *Steve Rogers has an idea: get their kids together and form Avengers 2.0 called Next Avengers Initiative and oh, look! Francis is invited. Great.

SKILLS / HABITS / PERSONALITY TRAIT.

An excellent marksman. Skilled in bowstaff.

Unlike Earth-555326, Francis isn’t trained as often. But could nearly match his father’s skills if he focuses hard enough.

Has more exposure to martial arts and self-defences, so he’s pretty skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

Has a lot of anger that he’s no idea on how to handle, so this could be used positively — but also negatively. As in, could grow reckless in fighting if you knew how to push the right buttons.

Fixes his arrowhead when he’s thinking. Tweaks / upgrades his weapons if he’s bored. Sometimes they explode in his face, but when they don’t, it works just fine.

Very rude to possibly everybody except his parents. Love dogs. Is actually a big softie who just wants to protect.

But also angry. Just, all the time. But has problems truly talking about it. Likes to piss people off just to see how they react. Gets into fights because of this. Like, a lot.

Modelling career makes him famous, although that only picks up when he’s fifteen. Wants to use his modelling money for Oxford.
