I actually still can't get over the VGU. I think the worst part is that? Tbh?? I've never even been particularly attached to League Viktor😠but I'm still really upset and miss him dearly. IDK?? I just feel like League Viktor filled out such a specific niche?? Like, no one else in League was the weird dubious ethics transhumanist robot guy. Meanwhile I feel like mages, while uncommon in Arcane, are like a dime a dozen in Runeterra and League the game itself
I think it's also the fact I just genuinely find his old lore more compelling than what arcane did (which honestly stripped him of so much agency, I feel like we only really saw him in the last 5 minutes). Again, I like Arcane in a vacuum but the choice to make it the main canon and just nuke league viktor out of existence is so frustrating
