Headsup: Sillage updates by the weekend, then Instincts of a Fearful Body as quick as I can write them both. Along with the IoaFB update, I will be posting sketches of Red Lotus!Korra, since she’s the only one who looks different from canon.

I mean, Asami looks different too, but she’s basically the same + an equalist uniform, so it’s not quite as drastic.

Oh, and I’ll probably have some Sakari sketches too, since she’s an OC and therefore has no canon appearance. Should be fun!

At the end of the graphic novel book club today, someone was talking excitedly about the Legend of Korra comics coming out. I smiled when he mentioned how they were going to feature Korrasami because hey, cool, we’re happy and excited about the same thing. And then he said he couldn’t wait for the “lesbian lovers”

I called out and tried to correct him. “Bisexual! They’re bisexual, they’re not lesbians.”

But he was walking out and I don’t think he heard me. A few other people did, I know they did, but they just ignored me. Nobody even glanced at me, so I just left. It’s been a while since I felt that small. I don’t think I’ll go back.

Aww thanks! I’ve got like a 10k outline for a longer Korrasami fic. It’s a little ridiculous. ^^; It’s not a modern AU, but I hope you still enjoy it. It’s a for-want-of-a-nail AU that basically goes off the premise of “What if Korra was raised by the Red Lotus and what if Asami’s dad was killed (instead of her mom).” So Asami is an Equalist and Korra is an Anarchist. Fun stuff. I’m gonna start working on actually writing it soon :)

I.... do not really have any Korrasami fic recs. ^_^;;;;;;;;; I think I’ve read like... 4 Korrasami fics? I’m a little busy to spend a lot of time reading fics, unfortunately. I’d rather be writing if I have the time to sit at my computer and think about fanfiction.

Guys I’ve spent several hours today working on the outline for the Red Lotus!Korra and Equalist!Asami Korrasami fic. I’ve always wanted to to an extensive For Want of a Nail fic, and this is the one! This is shaping up to be by far the most complex, multilayered fic I’ve ever written. It’s so great. I’m having so much fun. I cannot wait to write this you guys have no idea. I’m keeping it fairly in-line with the tone and pacing of LoK, but with how they should have handled Korrasami if Nickelodeon wasn’t a butt. Lots of shippy buildup and slowburn.

Each chapter should cover about the same amount of material as an episode would. Currently planning on 2 main arcs which would probably amount to reading like 2 seasons.

So yeah hey guys in case you thought I was joking about that Korrasami story, I have an outline in the works for Red Lotus!Korra and Equalist!Asami. I’ve recruited my best friend to help me and we’ve outlined backstories as well as the first few chapters.

I won’t start writing it out until I finish at least 1 of my ongoing multi-chap projects, but I just wanted you guys to know that I’m very serious about this fic and it’s happening in a “like for real” kind of way.

Ever since the finale aired and Bryke came out to announce Korrasami is canon, that one part of the fandom (m/akorra shippers) have been creating nonsense drama. They completely deny that Korrasami exists, they say it was forced, that it was bad writing, that it was a last minute decision, they feel "betrayed" bc they thought every time Mako and Korra looked at each other it meant "true love"... I'm so sick of their behavior I can't even enjoy the Korrasami tag anymore.

I never had much to do, formally, with the Korrasami fandom, so I've been completely detached from fandom drama. Honestly though, it sounds just like the Zutara/Kataang thing from a few years back. Eh. I was on dA and remember a huge fan project for an animated, reimagined Zutara finale that even got Dante Basco to agree to voice Zuko for it.

The only potential issue I see with Makorra shippers getting bend out of shape is that some of it seems a bit rooted in homophobia, which isn't cool. Grumbling and raging against canon is par for the course though. Frankly, Zutara outdid the drama about tenfold, from what I remember. I'm sorry you can't enjoy the tag, though. That's a shame :/
