Looking badass with a sword that Does Not Belong To Me ™, once again from the medieval-themed wedding I attended.

I'm super excited but also intimidated and running on sheer hubris and audacity to keep myself going towards it

Some highlights from the last day of Rowany Festival yesterday: While I was doing Roving Constable duty (where you basically walk around the entire event with a walkie-talkie and check all the campsites to make sure everyone is safe and practising fire safety), the lovely Dark Ages encampment kindly let me poke at their fire and pose for photos. 😅

I'm quite proud of this outfit; I arrived at Festival with a new plain blue apron dress (completed the day we left Perth, actually) but then I bought some handspun yellow wool here and, over the past two or three days, couched it onto the dress in my free moments. That couched loop pattern is actually based on the decoration on a tunic from the Oseberg ship burial, which my friend María was also copying and inspired me to try. 😁 I'd never couched anything before but I managed this, and am so glad I finished it in time to wear! And yes, it goes all the way around.
