Day One: June 1, 2018 | Coron, Palawan
It doesn’t end from the trip down south with the cousins. It wasn’t only touring around Cebu but around the Philippines as well. I remember I had summer classes on this day and I had an exam on my last class. I was given a minimum time to leave for class earlier and head straight to the airport. It was so clutch.
If you want to see more posts with the Canadian cousins, check it out here.
Fast forward to 1 in the afternoon, we have arrived at Coron!!! This is my second time in Coron and it’s so good to be back. I’ve been wanting to come back here since the last trip was actually faded because I don’t remember so much of the trip.
We checked in at Seadive Resort around 5 in the afternoon and look at this view from their restaurant. It’s so relaxing. We settled down to our respective rooms to leave all the luggage.
We still had all the time before it gets dark so we decided to book ahead for our island tour tomorrow since we arrived late for today. My brother talked to all the boating services finding the cheapest one since some were quite pricey.
So while waiting for my brother since he took awhile to talk around, I took random pictures of the place. The photo above is the resort we’re staying in. It’s just a walking distance to the pier which is a really good thing!
Their famous signage of Coron. You can actually go up there through 500 steps or more. The first time I came here 8 years ago, I remember climbing up all the stairs with my family to get to the top just in time for the sunset. It was such a magnificent view of the island, one I can’t forget.
Back to where we were, after talking with all the boatmen, it was time to eat our dinner. We ate at their food court or karenderias lined up and while eating, this little fella appeared. Such a cutie, and if you didn’t know, I love dogs and look at his eyes!!
After eating dinner and stepping out, the sun began to set and ho behold their sunset. I believe for every place you go, there will never be the same sunset you will see and for that, I will always be in awe.
It was an early dinner we had because we still had things to do but before leaving, we had to go back to the resort and prepare our stuff.
And tada, we are now in Maquinit Hot Spring! One of their attractions if you aren’t going to go to their island tours.
There were lots of people even in the night time but, oh boy, I don’t like hot springs. In fact, hot stuff to be general, If I take a shower, it would always be cold and that goes with my coffee as well. We didn’t stay long because they would close at 8pm. So after taking a dip, we left the place.
Before going back to the resort, we had to stop by to buy essentials for tomorrow’s trip such as water or drinks. Of course, I bough this to keep me relaxed since we’re on a vacation. This ends for day 1, it’s time to hit the sacks since tomorrow will be a long and exciting day.
What we did on the next day, here.
