Loaners || Tiana + Ratigan
Thanks to the beast that now lived inside of him he had been made all the more aware how annoying those around him at the university were. The clicking of pens and the whistle nose of the professor across the hall had due to their allergic reaction to the blooms of Spring grated against his mind.
Then, as if his punishment had not been severe enough, someone in the next room was building a new shelving unit for themselves against their shared wall in the loudest way possible. Work was alluding him which only built upon the growing frustration, the threat of it turning into the dangerous territory of anger had forced him from his seat.
He had taken refuge in the diner down the street. It, too, was a place of perpetual noise but not ones that had him on the verge of violent outbursts.
It was late when he finally looked up from his work (both for the university and for his other affairs). The sun that had shone as he left the school to the diner having set some time ago without his notice. He had only ordered coffee while there, and now with his head up he spied as the waitress was wandering over to him with the pot.
“Thank you,” he said once steam was rolling from the mug once more. Ratigan cast a glance around their surroundings, surprised to find that they were the only ones on the floor. “I’m not disrupting you by being here, am I?”
