A Dash of (Culinary) Magic | Lottiana
After what felt like the longest grocery shopping trip of her life, Lottie was finally prepared for her first-ever cooking lesson with Tiana. She wasnât quite sure what dishes the two would be whipping up, but she knew they couldnât work with the leftover takeout and half-empty salt and pepper shakers that her barren kitchen held.Â
So, in typical Lottie fashion, she went all-out.Â
The fridge was stocked with vegetables, meats, and cheeses; the center island of her kitchen featured three (three!) bowls of fruit; and she was fairly certain she bought every spice the store had offered. Would they need all of it? Probably not. But hey, if this went well and she didnât burn the entire house down, maybe sheâd make cooking at home more of a habit.
Or not. Only time would tell, really.
The blonde had just pulled out her one and only cutting board when the doorbell rang. With a spring in her step and a lemon-printed apron tied around her (what? It was the only one the store had), Lottie greeted her friend with an excited grin.
âHey there, Tia! Come on in. Iâm ready to learn. And I even have a fire extinguisher.â
