Also found this secret space, with one worker maintaining this massive silkfly lantern. To provide artificial lighting in order to make things a little bit less depressive and grueling? To spy, the light making it impossible for them to realize someone is watching on the other side as they take what minuscule break is allotted to them? Idk

Last neat thing I found was another breakable wall section I had missed initially!

I wish Hornet had gone along with what he thought was happening because it seems like he's dead set on working himself to dust trying to get the Citadel's attention, even as she tries to explain to him how that's likely not going to happen anytime soon with the state of things currently.

Usually when I play music for NPC's they receive some amount of joy from it, and initially that seemed to be the case with Loam, too...

But...

To remember being a child, of being at home, possibly of the warmth and love he'd have been surrounded by, and to contrast it with this.... of course he wouldn't want to hear it again.

Then I saw the treadmill beside him that also seemed to be turning gears, so I thought I could lessen his work load and help him out!

Which. Sort of. He did allow himself breathers as opposed to just running continuously, but it doesn't seem to do anything in the long run....

ohhh hello anon happy thursday!!! i love this question... i haven't thought about it too closely because i'm his voice... but i don't do like, a Character Voice or anything... BUT! i do have things that colour how i write him (or, how i interpret stuff from a session afterwards)

his voice is deep! he talks from the chest, and he's a big guy, so low and rumbly when he's comfortable. not super loud, though. maybe a tiny bit breathy?

when he's tense, it's tighter and up in his throat, making his voice scratchy and higher pitched. (occasional smoker!)

long vowels. he drawls...!

a lot of pauses...... he knows what he wants to say, but not the best way to say it, so he's building his sentences really carefully as he goes and tripping himself up along the way, so;

filler words and filler sounds... he's saying umm, and like, and sucking his teeth and going hmmm more often than not

BUT! when he's in the zone he's a (slow!) rambler. and then his voice is very smooth and expressive/animated.
