7, 15, and 16 :)
so i never got an alert that this message came in and only discovered it when i clicked messages on accident lol ! 7. Fondest horse memory Two days after I bought Rocky, my first horse and biggest childhood dream come true, I had a lesson where I accomplished a lot and felt super proud of myself and him for how far we had come. I remember telling my trainer with a huge smile that it felt “different” as my first lesson on my OWN horse. 15. Any riding injuries you haveThankfully nothing serious or permanent, (dare I say… so far) but my worst was a big fall I had off of dumb dumb (rocky) last February… don’t ask why I remember dates on everything. It wasn’t his fault at all, my saddle was slipping way to the left due to a badly fitting half pad and on a right-lead circle he fell in and I was leaning left due to my shitty balance and the saddle fit so we simply… parted ways. Now, this horse is a jumper and doesn’t do anything slowly so I hit the ground hard and fast! I was concussed and had to stay sprawled in the sand for a few minutes before I could limp away. Trainer wanted to call 911 but I declined because I didn’t have health insurance. Luckily everything was fine besides some major bruises.16. A bit about your barnBoth above answers were at my original barn where I bought Rocky from. Shortly after, they raised prices a ton. Like, $700+ just for board. So I decided to scoot out. I took my guy two barns over (they’re kinda all in the same area in town) and honestly, the facility is so much more beautiful. I lost the 3 covered arenas that the old barn had, which were great when it rained. My new barn has none, so nothing gets done when it rains. However, we have better access to the gorgeous mountain trails (that lead to the beach if you go far enough), six fantastic arenas for most disciplines and several round pens, tons of breezeways and fanciers stalls, turnouts and my favorite feature, a ¼ mile conditioning track lined with trees and flowers so you can ride out of the arenas if you want a change of pace. Even cooler, the city we’re in is a “horse town”, so you can ride down the street and right into town. It’s super fun for riders and “civilians” alike!
I’m happy to give out my barn’s website if anyone is interested, since I loooove looking at other people’s barns too lol
