This year I have met more ladies than I could have ever imagined + I am more convinced than ever that we (and everyone else) are truly called to be the ones who make the difference. Who step out of comfort zones and safety nets, and put their lives out there for the sake of His kingdom and the good of others. So often we doubt ourselves or think we aren't BLANK enough, but that couldn't be further from the truth. We serve a God of absolute abundance and if you run after your callings for His purposes then all you will ever need will be given to you. A visual representation of a feeling of which there are no real words to explain. ••• At first, I would explain this strange feeling as something that needed to be released by kissing someone, squeezing a puppy, or screaming but now I know this feeling is the "inexpressible joy" that Peter talks about in Peter 1:8. It's an understanding that we are able to be joyful in every and any situation because we know that God is with us through it all. The words of prayer are powerful, so never underestimate the importance of the time you spend on your knees with your Father. •• This time last week, the team and myself were dancing our BOOTIES off as we wrapped up tear down for @livesaltedportland with our traditional Macklemore 'dance off' #boomerang followed by one of the most hilarious and heart satisfying nights of my LIFE sharing a meal, doing praise reports, dreaming of the future, and laughing harder than I have in such a long time with 20+ people in my own home. Reflecting back on this day, my heart lights up as I remember praying the morning of the conference praying for the whole day to be a little slice of heaven - and sitting in my living room, with all those people, laughing and crying and doing life together I realized that prayer came true. I am convinced that Heaven will be like that moment only multiplied by a factor of a ZIGILION. There will be games, and laughter, and freedom from worry + stress + anxiety and a constant realization that you have found the key that unlocks the door to the best life imaginable. In Luke, Jesus is asked when the Kingdom of God would come and He simply responds with, "the kingdom isn't a place to be observed ... because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” (Luke 17:21). Last Saturday that Kingdom was obvious (Praise the Lord), and now it is time to take on a posture of continuing to look for His kingdom and live out of it everyday. + today we get to do it again!! •• Dear God, I pray you meet each and every women who walks through the doors of @southlakechurch that they would walk in free from any insecurity or fear or busyness that could hold them from being fully present today. I pray you will meet us exactly where they are, including myself and the team. I pray this will be a day marked with memories only you could orchestrate. I pray for you to transform our mere human words to eternal lasting change in these women's lives as we speak and share. I pray for myself, that I would be present- taking in each moment that happens- the good, the unexpected and the in between. Lord, we have been obedient, we have listened, and now we are #adventurouslyexpectant to see what you are going to do.
