One pet peeve I never really discussed really is when a mun goes over the top to really impress another writer. What I mean by that is using fancy/advanced vocabulary. To be the greatest writer that you can be, it all starts by being yourself. Trust me, you’re not going to impress me by using fancy, complicated words in which you may not even know the meaning of. I would rather read a post that has words in the basic/intermediate sense. If you actually do know the meaning of words that other muns are not familiar with, then kudos to you. But still do not make it difficult for your partners. They’ll thank you in the long run.

Her eyes widened as her hand slowly moved away from the spike of the older mans hair, mouth slightly opened as he turned around to look at her. It had been a silly dare from that damned Ninja to see which one of the would be brave enough to go and tug on one of the spikes first. She’d gladly taken the offer, chatting with the man when he visited the cafe and talked with Tifa and hoping he wouldn’t recognize her face, or better yet she could get away. But there she stood, eyes locked with him, and with a small laugh she attempted to talk herself out of the situation.
“Hey blonde Squall I’ll just. Uh. I’ll get to going want me to tell Tiff you said hi?”
