#little guy...

A pitter-patter of steps. Quiet, quick, but not trying to be sneaky. Rather just very curious, investigating, searching. 

A small splash. Followed by several more after. Stopping now to play in the puddle, only refocusing when the loud sound of cars rushing by causes them to refocus. They can dilly-dally later. Play and laugh and more later. 

When they find them. 

And they will, they know they will. 

Back to their journey. 

It's been a long one. They aren't quite sure how long. It's hard to tell, really. One moment they're at home, happy, playing, the next it's ripped away from them. They're somewhere unfamiliar, foreign. 

Frightening. 

To their surprise, and delight, the people in this strange land have never been scary. ...Most of them anyway. 

They'd made many friends on their journey back home, shared smiles and laughter and little moments of joy. Things that would motivate them to keep going. From the smallest rabbick, to the tallest swatchling, they'd seen it all on their voyage. 

There'd been plenty of alarming encounters. Close calls. There were plenty of people here always looking to fight, 'battle' even. They had no interest in it, though it sometimes took a bit of convincing to make that clear.

Sometimes it got very lonely. Making many friends but never getting to keep those friends with you can be... difficult. It's not that they didn't appreciate the friends they had made! It's just... unlikely they'll ever get to see any of them again. 

Maybe it would all end up being for naught. 

Maybe they'd never see—

A shake of their head multiple times over, tail flicking back and forth. 

No, they will find them. The journey is slow, it's long and grueling and sometimes they want to simply just give up, but they won't. They can't. It wouldn't be fair, not to them or their person. 

They must keep going, if only for that chance. Just one final chance to see them again. 

They wouldn't give that up for anything in this world. 

I'll get you again brozi... and your little ocs too... watch your back...
