As the wheel turns and Summer bursts into the year, may you find yourself blessed with health, prosperity, growth, warmth, and love

It doesn't make you any less of a pagan to not celebrate the sabbats, slash any other pagan holidays. Sometimes you just don't have the time, don't have the energy or just can't out of any other reasons. Especially during this european heatwave currently, if you weren't able to celebrate Litha to it's fullest, no one will judge you for it!

I, too, had a hard time coping with it. When work calls, 8 hours a day without an AC, too busy to prepare, you just feel completely powered out. Even for a three-day festival, it can be hard to find the motivation. However, what matters the most are always your intentions.

Low effort celebrations can be done. Just soak up the sunlight, appreciate the day, eat sabbat related food, think of accomplishments, think of what we honor or just wear sabbat related colors. There are many ways to celebrate, without actually bodily participating.

Life happens, work happens or sometimes there is just no strength for anything and that's fine. You're still a pagan, you still have your beliefs and you aren't a bad example of one. 🌞

I included a big jar of Sun water, which I set out at sunrise and brought inside at sunset, two white candles, one yellow candle, a selenite and quartz crystal, a citrine crystal (not visible in this pic unfortunately), and an offering bowl of wildflowers, ginger, cinnamon, and salt, plus a cool pinecone stick that I found while foraging. During the day, I drank honey lavender chamomile tea, and journaled about my gratitude for the Sun, and my dreams for the future of my practice. As the sun was setting, I meditated in front of the altar, envisioning warmth, safety, and joy as yellow sunshine surrounding my body and replenishing my energy and spirit.

I am seeking advice from more experienced witches about other practices I can incorporate into my Litha celebration. I could not light a bonfire unfortunately, but I did spend some time outside soaking up the Sun.

I am also wondering if there is anything I should add to my altar or remove from it. I am a broke college student at home right now, so I don’t have much money to splurge on tools lol.

The summer solstice is here☀️. I offered some of my plants to the energy of Summer. I prayed & meditated in our garden. I also drew a yellow chalk spiral Sun figure.

I placed a long prism / phallic representation upright in the middle of the spiral drawing to tap into the Divine Masculine energy. Afterwards, I tossed flower petals towards the Sun and burned incense.
