And why not include Hannah's original music as well? She created a beautiful cover of "Obstacles" in 2017, but I think "Hollow Glow" from her first album would also be perfect for Double Exposure's soundtrack. Especially since Hannah was around the same age as Max in Double Exposure, the music video shows her traveling alone like Max is now, and the lyrics are melancholic and seem to be focused on youth passing you by. The lyrics I bolded seem especially resonant with the story of DE so far and where Max is currently at, emotionally and socially:

so if it's the universe where Chloe survives, what the fuck happened?? Max chose to sacrifice an entire town to save Chloe's life. did the fallout from that push them apart? I really hope LIS4 doesn't just gloss over that. no "break up" between Chloe and Max would ever be casual or normal or trauma-free. not after everything they did to stay together.

and if it's the universe where Chloe dies... sort of doubly tragic, because in that universe, Max never gets to BE Chloe's high school sweetheart, except in that little pocket of reality that only Max knows, the one that exists after she saves Chloe's life but before she chooses to sacrifice her. imo Max is downplaying that connection either way, but maybe she's just trying to keep it casual with Safi? doesn't want to get into all the pain and trauma she has around Chloe, alive or dead?

and how does this play into the little hints about Max and Chloe that we get in LiS2? when Sean and Daniel meet David, David has a photo of Chloe and Max in his trailer. where does that moment in time fit into the timeline?

I have a LOT of mixed feelings about this sequel. on the one hand, I've loved every LiS game and I loved Max as a protagonist, so of course I'm stoked for a new game with her.

but my biggest concerns are how this is going to impact the story we've already seen, a story I cherish very deeply. I need this game to honor Max's relationship with Chloe, one way or the other. I'll have a very tough time swallowing it if Chloe is only ever referenced in this one throwaway line.
