i've been stuck trying to write the second chapter of a fic i'm working on and nothing anyone's told me has really helped. i know what i want to do in the chapter (introduce some major characters, set up a major conflict between two of them), but i don't know how to go about actually doing it. i think part of the issue is that so far not much really happens in the chapter. it's the characters talking to each other. i've been thinking of starting the chapter over to see if that helps. any advice?
I donât know if my suggestions will be any more helpful thananyone elseâs but here you go!
If you think the problem is because nothing is happeningbesides the characters talking then try making them have the conversation in a lessideal (or dangerous) situation. Â Insteadof sitting in a room, have them stuck outside in the rain or taking the stairsto the tenth floor. Â Or try putting themin a public place, like the middle of the store/classroom/office or on abus/train so there is a (potential) audience to their conversation. Â Or have at least one of them doing anactivity that involves physical actions for the entire conversation (washingdishes, building a birdhouse, playing with their cat).
Rewriting is also a great idea. Â Even if you keep the ideas the same, the actof writing it out again can jostle up new aspects of the scene.
You could also try summarizing the chapter. Â Write out a three sentence summary of whathappens. Â Then start again and write asix sentence summary. Â Then write a ninesentence summary, etc. Â This will helpyou to find the important details. Â Andhopefully, as you keep expanding, you will find the chapter taking shape andyou will just be able to start writing.
Hope this give you some ideas! Let me know if you would like me to clarify anything. =)
idk if you've been asked this before, but do you have any specific headcanons for the pregame characters? if not, that's perfectly fine, i just really like hearing everyone's different thoughts on them
Hmm, I personally donât think that âpregameâ is what the fandom thinks it is. I donât think the v3 class were willing participants or fictional characters.

2, 4, 12, and 20?
oh hewwo!!!!!!!
2: Which character did the game handle the best? Why?
Iâd argue either Momota or Ouma. I really enjoyed their characters on their own and I feel like both of them ended up being super competent, (even if I guess I found them grating at times like chapter 4 lmao)
4. Did free time events change your opinion about a certain character? What did you learn about the character through these events?
Oh, I havenât watched all of the FTEs yet but I guess⌠while there werenât any free time events that /significantly/ changed my perspective on a character.. I know that Korekiyo isnât everyoneâs favorite lmao (he isnât mine!) but his events were pretty interesting, and after watching them I forgot he was Like That for 30 seconds. (sdr2 gave us Akane and Souda whose free time events made me like them a LOT more! I donât really know if thereâs someone like that in V3.)
12. Who is the most underrated character? What makes them stand out to you?
Ryoma. Heâs very surprisingly unpopular and I donât see a lot of content about him. He has a solid backstory, he likes cats, itâs like, even I donât know what to say about him because there isnât a lot of fanfare for him. I feel like we missed a lot of potential with him. I remember reading one time that Ryomaâs struggling while Kirumi drowned him was proof that he still somehow wanted to live, and I found that pretty sadâŚ
20. Does Shuichi make a good protagonist? Why or why not?
Yeah! I think he does. Heâs my favorite male protag among the 3 games, I feel like heâs very competent at what he does and the fact that everyone was relying on him gave him a lot of pressure. Heâs probably the most relatable protagonist for me. Iâm not sure if Kaede wouldâve been more competent (she could be! I donât know!) but Iâm okay with Saihara being the protag instead of her?
Ahaha I hope you liked my answers

i think ive lost enough sanity as is,Â
BUT I HAVENT STOOPED THAT LOW YET
i'M FINE I'M FINE. i just thought it was kinda funny in hindsight. my mom gave me some sleep medicine and she phrased it kinda weird so i thought it was chewable stuff. it was not. so that was certainly something that happened.
