Recently I got this @hanaleicompany Lip Treatment in Mauve Pink in my @ipsy bag this month and it is said to be super-hydrating and healing with a subtle pink look. (It’s got the look down!) ••• ••• It’s made with kukui oil and contains vitamins A, C, and E, and essential fatty acids according to the information presented online. In addition it’s got agave and grape seed oils which are packed with antioxidants said to protect you lips through the day. ••• ••• It is infact moisturizing. The shea butter deeply hydrates and gets your lips silky soft, without feeling the least bit greasy. This is true however not for a full 24 hours. 😬 ••• ••• In comparison to my regular lip balm it is subpar. I truly enjoy my regular balm a lot more. I mean this one has a great subtle taste. But it’s not worth the price point simply because: ••• ••• 1. It cost more; With a $25 price tag and a 15g weigh-in, it comes out to $1.66 a gram. My regular lip balm costs me $18 for 12 grams ($1.50 a gram) (PLUS I get 3 free samples from a brand I enjoy) and ••• ••• 2. I need to reapply every few hours because it works immediately but not for the entire day (like my normal one does). For this reason alone I will not purchaser at its regular price. Infact it’d have to be on SUPER sale for me to purchase it. Also I asked #ipsy on Twitter if we could buy the mauve one ? (Since only clear is showing as available to me) And they never answered me. So 🤷🏻♀️ oh well.
